Lip care
Share your lip care routine in your own words in winters
This winter, I have a lip care routine that can help keep my lips hydrated, soft, and free from capping, I will be sharing with you the most effective routine I follow to care for my lips this winter.
I do drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep my lips and skin hydrated. This is because dry air in winter can dehydrate quickly and the best thing that I can do to keep my lips and skin hydrated is to drink plenty of water throughout the day which has helped me a lot.
I also, use homemade scrubs like sugar and honey or any soft-bristled toothbrush to exfoliate my lips gently once or twice a week. This method has helped me to remove dead skin and smooth out rough patches on my lips.
Also, I do apply daily moisturizing. What I usually do is apply a thick, nourishing lip balm like the one in the image with ingredients like she's butter, coconut oil, or beeswax multiple times a day. When there are sun balms with SFP to protect my lip against the winter sun.
Overnight care is another thing that I mostly do to protect my lip in winter. To this, before going to bed, I apply a generous layer of a moisturizing lip mask or a thicker balm to help repair and hydrate my lips overnight so that even when I wake up my lips will still loop fresh.
I do avoid licking my lips: during winter I do see most people licking their lips which I don't like because it makes me feel soothing momentarily, but dries my lips further due to evaporation. As a lady whenever I am stepping out, I use a scarf or mask to shield my lips from cold wind and harsh weather.
By consistently applying or following the directions that I have shared our lips can remain effective and beautiful in winter instead of having dried lips that should look fresh and attractive.
