RE: "Sports And Health"

I love your enthusiasm for sports and especially football. Unfortunately, though I support the need to engage in one form of sport or the other, I am among the few who are not in love with football. I engage reluctantly with football once in many years. The last time I played could be 5 years ago. I love bicycles, and riding is my preferred form of exercise. I can cover long distances for endurance and can put up speed for cardiovascular exercises. I am of the opinion that watching football is not a sport even though it takes a lot of energy to actively watch an interesting football match.

I love that you are creating high quality comments and interacting with others, but for now you don't need to tag me on each of them, my friend. The comment contest proposal wasn't approved by SC team yet, they will be making decision about the new Challenge season around 4th of April. Until then, the contest remains just the concept and is not active.

With that being said, I strongly encourage all Steemians to keep interacting with others, just tagging me (for now) is not necessary :)

I wish your proposal got the approval it deserved. It reminded me of a comment contest I participated in when I was new on this platform. This would encourage purposeful reading and productive engagement as a powerful motivating force. I will try to see how long I would maintain the spirit without the "external motivation". I do love the vote on my post. But I do miss the comments because that is how I get to know that my post has actually been read, and the effect it had on someone.

The part of the exercise you choose is fantastic, we use to ride bicycle when we are young so we don't know that it's important as this. Riding bicycle is necessary to strengthen our bone and muscle. Thanks for your comment

In my case, the bicycle doubled as my sporting activity and means of transportation. It has numerous useful effects. After an accident on a bicycle, some people will never get on it again. I had my accident playing football. I remember playing football when I was very young, about 8 years or so. I was the goalie for my team. Rising anxiety as the ball drew closer, I dove in for the ball, and got it, but also got kicked in the throat. I thought I was going to die, and that experience has ever kept me away from football.
