Noise pollution on the environment 5/12/2024 @montex000
Good morning everyone on healthy steem ;I’m here to complete in this contest of noise pollution and here are my views on it•
Noise pollution ;refers to excessive/unwanted sound that disrupts the balance of natural and human environment and it’s a serious environmental issue with a range of negative effects on humans ,animal and the ecosystem itself
Therefore they are many common sources of nous pollution as listed below according to my views and research made by me
- Transportation such as cars ,trains are a common source of noise pollution for example the sounds made by cars like during starting the car and the train hence a common traffic of noise pollution.
- Natural sources such as thunderstorm, volcanic eruptions for examples most of East African countries and Africa at all have block and volcanic mountains the erupt hence causes noise pollution to the environment and ecosystems
- Urbanization also cause noise pollution due to the activities carried out there for example loudspeaker, events and household appliances like speakers for example of Davido organize a music events they cause pollution
- Industrial activities such as factories and construction sites which use machines for example excavators cause noise pollution and I would invites @shamie75 to read this !! Noise pollution has effects on the environment and to the humans and the following effects include
• Human health hence reducing productivity and focus, stress, anxiety and sleep disturbances for examples events organism in urban areas leading to fatigue and depression to the environment and the physical health of humans
• Noise pollution has altered breeding grounds and feeding patterns creating stress and migration of animals due to noisy habitats to un noisy free environments for example in swamps, and forests due to cutting down trees!
• To the environment,it has created a noise ecological balance by distributing species interaction, impaired plant growth in areas with heavy vibrations and noise hence an effect to the environment
Solutions or ways to reduce on noise pollution in the community and there the solution I suggest include the following;
• legislation;should be set up to enforce on noise control laws and regulating sound levels in public spaces such as events in urban areas should be given time like they should not exceed 12:00 midnight hence reducing noise pollution.
• Technological innovation;such as using sound proof materials in constructional sites ,developing quieter machinery and vehicles for example electric cars have been introduced to reduce noise pollution because they don’t produce sound during operations
• Personal measures such as using ear plugs and low volume during television and radio listening hence an easy way to reduce noisy pollution
• Urban planning ;for example developing green zones and noise barriers in cities for example some spaces have to be gazetted for events ,and the awareness on how harmful noise pollution is therefore in conclusion following the above solutions stated can help to reduce noise pollution and it’s negative effects on humans, animals and the ecosystem.
How do you think technology can help us to combat noise pollution in the future and these include the following as to my opinion ; Technology plays a significant role in combating noise pollution through innovative solutions that minimize, monitor, and control excessive sound levels.
Here are some key ways technology helps to combat noise pollution.
- Noise-Reducing Materials and Devices;Soundproofing like modern soundproof materials, like acoustic panels, double-glazed windows, and noise-absorbing tiles, are used in buildings to reduce the penetration of external noise.
2 • Quieter Machinery: Advances in engineering have led to quieter industrial equipment, vehicles, and appliances;Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Used in headphones and devices to cancel out unwanted sounds by generating anti-noise - Policy and Regulation Enforcement;Data Analytics like Al-based systems analyze noise data to ensure compliance with noise control regulations.;Automated Fines: Noise monitoring systems linked to cameras can issue fines automatically for noise violations, such as excessive honking.
Therefor ;l invite @waterjoe78,@irawandedy80,@steemitblog77 to participate in this contest
