Environmental Hygiene and Proper waste disposal: You and I responsibility
Going out today to get something outside my comfort zone after a strenuous activities filled day, I stopped by to observe the nature and appreciate God’s work and the nature beauty. Then I got strucked with an offensive odour coming from a waste bin litter roughly by the roadside with crows perching and flying around looking for their own daily bread
Then, i got concerned about something and that was the way the refuse was disposed improperly by people due to their inpatiency and negligence in which their little to great input through waste disposal can possibly infect other people which can lead to the outbreak of diseases.
To be more concerned, I feel for bottle scavengers who are mostly older women with no jobs or low source of income and cannot do without picking bottles a day at the refuse just for them to pick,sell and eat who could and will one day possibly come in contact with that infectious areas.
So it our duty to take care of our dirty environment in order to prevent the outbreaks of Bacteria infection through agents such as pseudomonas aeruginosa which are now getting resisted to antibiotics and staphylococcus aureus e.t.c and fungi infection such as histoplasmosis, blastomyces So it important we start making use of our waste baskets and bins and create waste bags for pet bottles, nylons, and most especially biodegradable waste so as not to mix all together leading to contamination and pollution of the air.
How our environment will look like depends on how we take care of it.
Avoid littering your environment with refuse ranging from paper, nylon, bottles e.t.c
We need to say this because of our own health hygiene and what we can do to minimize the risk of getting infected with one of the diseases.
That is why I am emphasizing and creating more awareness about the impact of improper waste disposal and management on our health and environment .
So it is you and I responsibility to stand up and be the change the future is anticipating, you and I can change the world and make the future better if and only if we are ready to change our mindsets to what is good and better, Then the world will then end up being a great place for everyone to live in
