Welcome once again to my blog today. I'm delighted to join the contest organized here in this community by @edgargonzalez on the topic which says week 7 Powering up leads you to win!.

Indeed powering up our Steem is one of the major ways we can win in the Steemit platform because it helps to increase our Steem power which leads to earning more curation rewards anytime we vote on other people's posts.

This is one of the things that is most encouraged by the Steemit team because if we all have good SP then the burden of support by the team will be reduced. Today I will take you all on a tour as to how you can effectively power up your Steem.

Let's follow the steps one after the other and see how we can effectively power up the Steem. This process is always the same for all Steemians so it's not a new thing for old Steemians but it will be a lesson for the new Steemians.

Number 1 Step: Ensure you have properly logged into your account with your private active key and let your wallet be in the format below.

Number 2 Step: Click on the drop-down menu which is located beside the Steem token in the screenshot below and then click on the power-up option.

Number 3 Step: Enter the amount of Steem you wish to power up and then click on the power up button as seen in the screenshot below.

Number 4 Step: Click on the OK button to confirm if you are certain about the process that you wish to carry out. This is to confirm your transaction of converting from Steem to SP.

Number 5 Step: Go back to your wallet and confirm if the amount you powered up has been added to the SP section as in the screenshot below.

So those are the basic steps that every Steemian can follow to perform the power-up. This way a newbie and also those who are old users can easily perform a power-up without anyone guiding them them.
