The Diary Game: Battling With Illness While Still Keeping Up With Work(28/05/2026)

Good evening wonderful steemit family. How are you all doing? Hope you had a great day. I had a stressful day as usual. Life as a bartender hasn't really been easy. It's been a lot for me coupled with my health. I've been a bit under the weather for a while now. Even with that, I have to still work because I signed up for it.

Doing morning chores

Immediately we opened, I had to sweep and arrange the place. I went to the kitchen to assist with some things. I was feeling very weak and drozzy. With the way I was feeling, I knew I needed to take medications. I took permission from my boss to visit the nearby pharmacy. I meet the pharmacist, told her the symptoms I was having and she prescribed drugs for me and I bought it.

Medications

On my way back to the shop, I bought bread and Coca-Cola. I got to the shop and food wasn't ready yet so I sat to the little snack I bought. After eating I had my meds and went ahead with work. I avoided doing heavy work because of my health. I assisted in serving customers and other less stressful activities.

Snacks

I was asked to stack the crates of drinks so that the suppliers can come pick them up. That was a lot of work because it took about an hour before I could finish the stalking. By this time, my head was hurting seriously and I knew I needed to have a good meal and rest.

Filling and stackling crates

Our closing time is 9pm but I had to plead with my boss to let me go before that time. I left the store by 7pm. Although I didn't have appetite, I forced myself to get something to eat. I spoke with my family and told them about my health. My mum was a bit worried but I assured her that I'll be fine. I spent the rest of the day resting and sleeping.
