SEC-S13/W4 | "The Role of the Caregiver ♥️
Greetings 💕
I am very happy to write my first post in healthy steem community because before this i can't write post in this community. Now i am very excited to write my first participation in steemit engagement challenge.
Have you played the role of caregiver or do you know someone who has put it into practice? Tell us about it. |
---|
It was one of the first jobs Iwhwn my grandmother was ill, I was one of that is very near to her, I did, after all it wasn't so bad, on two occasions, one was with grandmother it was as if I was taking care of my grandmother, the first one had no family, the government looked after her because she had been a diplomat.
The sisters did have families, one of them did have children, the other did not, her children were the ones who hired me after Chlote died. It was a nice experience, they were kind ladies, imagine they didn't die from illness but from their advanced ages.
Do you think caring for a sick person should be a team effort or the job of one person? |
---|
It depends on many factors, on the type of illness, on the person's build, because if it is a person with a thin complexion, I think a single caregiver can do it. I did it with my old lady Chlote, she was the first one I took care of her.
They hired me to take care of her, as she never had children, she served for many years as the German ambassador in Chile, I took care of her all day, bathing her, feeding her, but I didn't cook or clean the house, I was exclusive to her. For her, there were other people for the rest of the household. An advantage for me was that during the time that she took care of her as she slept and ate there, she saved me that money and so she could send her to my people Pakistan.
What qualities do you think a caregiver should have? |
---|
As I said, I had no knowledge of being a caregiver, I had no knowledge of being a nurse, only of my children when they got sick, first aid either, but I did like reading about medicine and science. But they should have some qualities or characteristics: Be very patient, since the people to care for are mostly elderly.
Have knowledge about caring or if you have taken a first aid course. Know or know basic aspects such as: taking blood pressure, applying vaccines, fever, etc. Be friends with them, talk, tell jokes, take them for a walk, this according to the clinical picture of whoever is taking care of themselves. Love them a lot, sometimes it is the best medicine.
What advice would you give to a person performing this role? |
---|
May they see it as a profession, a humanitarian work, giving love to those people who many are already in a terminal state of their illnesses and may their last days be joyful.
When they say caregiver or caretaker because they can be both, the majority is sought to take care of, as I said, elderly people, but with an illness that does not allow them to take care of themselves, some disability, because there are elderly people, who They are very well, they do not suffer anything. But you can also take care of children because for critical illnesses there are no ages, races, or genders.
I invite, @Sahime , @dexyluz , @aaliarubab here in this contest.

Holaa sra amiga, cuidar de los abuelitos es una de las cosas que debe dar satisfacción 😊 y si es verdad el cuidador debería tener conocimiento básicos y por lo menos saber tomar tensión. Suerte en su reto.
You’ve really had your experience being a care giver. Hope you enjoyed the time of your hire. Old charlotte must have been lucky to have you look after her.
And your statement about the care giver being knowledgeable was really a profound truth. The care giver must have the knowledge of what is expected from him or her in order to ensure effectiveness in care giving.
Great content you have here. Warm regards and good luck with the contest.
@wadood16, Hey friend pls click on my post and drop a valid comment for me as I did in yours. Thanks

Hola amigo
