Hello adventure lovers!

Here in Connecticut, winter is in full swing after the overnight snowfall transformed things into a magical wonderland. What a change from the tropical weather I've gotten used to in Vietnam!

I awoke this morning to find several inches of fluffy snow blanketing the ground—the perfect wintry sight. Having just returned from over 5 years living in the heat and humidity of Southeast Asia, this taste of a white winter felt extra special.

Stepping outside into the snow-globe scenery was sublime. The powder muffled all sounds besides the occasional snapping branch dumping its snowy load. I crunched along, leaving fresh tracks as flurries still drifted down, coating the evergreens in even more wintry brilliance.

Unfortunately, the forecast calls for warmer temps later this week which will doubtless melt this snowy paradise away. But for now, I'm enjoying the rare winter beauty while it lasts! Everything glittering under blue skies truly feels like a magical gift before New England weather returns to its usual grey moodiness.

I captured some photos of the picturesque snowscapes this morning that I wanted to share. I hope they transport you briefly into this winter wonderland! It was a special moment and a lovely atmospheric change from the tropical landscapes I've been wandering through. I may miss Vietnam, but Connecticut in the snow has its own magic.
