What is Plagiarism?

Simply, Plagiarism is copying or stealing someone else's idea or writings and making it your own by posting on some platform without the consent of the actual author or giving the suited credits to the authors. We all should abstain from plagiarising and become original content creators. Especially, On Platforms like Steemit, which provide support to the creator who provides Value and Quality with his/her Post. Plagiarism is of different types and I've explained this in my ^{Click here on Achievement 3}

Steps To Detect Plagiarism

Step 1. Copy the Text, Which you want to Check for Plagiarism.(But first write down your Article Completely). Use the Command Ctrl + c after selecting the whole Article.(Ctrl + A is the shortcut for selecting the whole Text)

Step 2. Search Plagiarism Detector on the Web and Click on the First Link. You can save this website to your Bookmark. Click on this link ^{https://plagiarismdetector.net/}

Step 3. As you opened the site mentioned. Now you can paste your Article into the box. Use Ctrl + v to paste the article.

Step 4. Click on Check Plagiarism. There are other options also if you want to check a published article. Then you copy the link and paste it into the check by URL section. (You can check other published article as well, whether they are original or not)

Step 5. This will start checking the plagiarism and will tell you if you're 100% original or not. The screen looks like this in the below screenshot Image. Note- it is a slow process and usually takes up to 2-3 min as of my experience.

Sharing my Experience with Plagiarism

In my previous post, I found 7% plagiarism. The Line which shows plagiarism was a generic term, I guess it's a marketing quote. so I have to alter my words and I wrote a new Line.

The line shows plagiarism (in the above screenshot)so I change this line and wrote something like this. See the below screenshot.

After This, I checked again and This time It was 100% Plagiarism free. I want to add to this that some lines or wording may be of your own and can be a part of plagiarism because this could be available on the Internet and someone has already shared the Idea that you are getting today. So, Never take this to your Heart and alter the line.

Ways to Eliminate Plagiarism

1. Always write in your own words and never copy.
2. Try to avoid using generic statements which are viral or all over the Internet.
3. Alter your wording.
4. Rewrite the article.
5. Write in Blocks if you're writing a long Article.
6. Write in a good mood because when you write something with compulsion, you're more likely to cheat or copy.
Other ways are unethical to me like paraphrasing and using rewrite bots. I personally don't use and nor do I refer anyone to use those things.
