Types of Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing is a must-have skill that one should be Learning Today. There is a very lucrative career in this field and the opportunities are countless. Digital Marketing plays a vital role in the growth of a company/organization. In the past decade, Digital Marketing has become the main focus of attraction that companies pay more attention to. Digital Marketing gives you the leverage to upscale the overall marketing strategy of a company or organization. As a Digital Marketing student and enthusiast, I would love to share my experience and learning with you guys.

1. SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZTION (SEO)

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is simply building your website in such a way that it shows in the Google Search Results. I will Break down this further, Search Engine (e.g., Google) is where we search for any sort of Information. There are plenty of Websites that have a similar type of data or information, for example, If have to learn about digital marketing, I will search for it in the search engine but there will be only the top posts out of thousands of posts. The top post will be created in such a way that they are more suitable for a user to get the information. as the pictures used, the quality of the article, spacing, the looks, etc are the things that are required to be optimized in such a way that the content on the website or the website becomes SEO friendly. 2. Adwords - Pay per Click

Another Role of a Digital Marketer is to serve as an Ad Manager. There are different modes of advertisement when it comes to digital marketing. There are Facebook ads, and Google ads which are mostly used for conducting any sort of Marketing Campain. whether for Brand Awareness or Lead Generation. and for PPC, it stands for Pay per click and is the way of Online advertising where ads are shown on search engine result pages.

3. SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING (SMM)

This one is my favorite and it is the hot topic in digital marketing these days. Social Media Marketing is all about promotions. You promote your Product or Service via different social channels like Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, Youtube, etc. As a Social Media Manager, you handle the social media accounts of your paying party and improve the quality and numbers by Creating content, doing ads, engaging, etc.

4. Email Marketing

By far, Email Marketing is the best way of Marketing. You must have received several emails every day from different organizations or something and you just Ignore them all and think emails are pathetic But as a Digital Marketer, Emails are the best tool to convey your message to your target audience. Building an email list will always be fruitful. Because your social media may collapse - who knows but your email list will always nurture your audience. I have seen the big players like Digital Deepak ( I'm part of his Digital Marketing Internship Program) use Email Marketing as the Foundation for Building their Brand. Simplifying it further, For e.g., If I write a new blog on my website, I'm conducting a webinar, or I've launched a new Youtube video or a guest appearance how will I convey to my audience that You should check; Email is the answer.

5. Content Marketing

Content Marketing is simply creating content that is high in value and of top quality, to be delivered to your audience for attracting, engagement, or Information sharing while promoting your Brand or Your personal Brand. All of us, on Steemit, are doing a part of Content Marketing, which is creating Content and creating our identity(Personal Brand) on Steemit

6. Affiliate Marketing
