Understanding the Importances of Voting
Hello everyone and good day!
I genuinely hope that everyone is having a good week and spending time with friends and family. Today, I am going to discuss here voting and its importance.
What is Vote and how it works
Votes give posts a value based on a user's STEEM Power and allow users to express their approval of a post or comment. The votes are like your tokens whose value determines as Steem or Steem Doller, Tron or Steempower. Since you only have a certain quantity of tokens and they are ranked from 1 to 10, your ability to award the best rewards is limited.
Likewise, you should use your votes to honor the greatest posts. Votes do, however, lose a little bit of value as you cast more of them. The good news is that your voting "strength" on Steemit will regenerate, much like receiving a fresh batch of tokens at the upcoming apple competition. Now that you have a general understanding, let's explore how this appears on Steemit.
You can check your outgoing and incoming votes here and here is my last month's voting report:
Voting Power-VP
Your account has a voting power statistic that is current at all times. This value, which ranges from 0% to 100%, you can check your VP here just change your username in the address bar and it will show like this
This meter will be at 100% if you haven't yet voted on Steemit. When you start voting, you should check steemworld.org frequently to monitor your influence. Your voting power is reduced by 2% each time you cast a full-strength upvote. The value you can add to another post reduces as your voting power increases.
Let's use an account with 500 STEEM Power (SP) and full voting power as an example. This user's whole upvote at the time this post was made would be worth around $0.02, and it will increase or decrease depending on their effective steem power. This user's voting ability will be reduced by 10% to 90% if they vote five times on posts they like.
You can check your VP, used and remaining the percentage of your VP here
If you don't cast a vote during that time, your voting power will increase by 20% every 24 hours, returning to 100%. Since this reduces voting power to 80% and enables recovery the next day, many users on Steemit refrain from delivering more than ten full-strength upvotes per day.
Though you probably won't need to worry about voting strength right away as a new user, it is crucial to understand how voting on Steemit functions. When you vote for the first time, you'll notice that the upvote button may initially display a brief little whirling visual before turning solid green. This indicates that you have "upvoted" the post or remark. When you click the upvote button, a voting slider will show up whenever your account has 500 SP. This slider's value represents your vote percentage.
Due to their low SP, new users always cast 100% of the votes. You will start with a very low value of SP accessible to you in your account if you haven't put any of your own STEEM into it. This implies that at first, your vote won't mean much. Consequently, lowering your vote percentage offers other postings even less value.
Getting to 500 SP may seem like a far shot, but relax. Your SP can be raised in a variety of ways. Start by looking for users who share your interests. Engage with them and vote on their postings, and they might reciprocate. In addition, there are competitions all around Steemit that can enable you to earn some STEEM or SBD much faster than receiving votes. More information on how to succeed will be covered in a subsequent class. I do advise new users to start out by casting no more than ten votes per day. This enables you to vote on posts and comments with the greatest potential weight.
Downvote & Flag
Users on Steemit are free to downvote posts or comments in the same way that they can upvote them. On Steemit, "downvotes" and "flags" have the same meaning. Any post or remark will have a little flag icon in the upper right corner.
You have the option to withhold awards from posts by flagging them. Your ability to remove money is determined by your STEEM Power, exactly like how much you can upvote. The message that shows when you click the flag button is seen here:
So all your posts and comments should be to get upvoted only. If your post is poor in quality or hateful then others will surely downvote and flag it. So be careful as your income may be affected and your reputation may be damaged.

Well, I know a little about the use of steem world.org before but after reading this article it helped me to use two more sites to analyse my vote percentage and outgoing and incoming votes.
Yes there are many tools/sites/dapps that integrated with steemit

I would like to know how to set a default value for each of my votes unless I set a percentage manually for a particular post. Thank you.
You may visit steemworld.org and set % for auto upvoting
