Firefox Privacy Email and Google Terms of Service Update
But this also provided me with an opportunity to see the funny side...I'm always looking for any excuse to make a meme.
I guess they were right...Privacy will be big in 2020. After that, who knows:)
A few days later I found out that google will be updating their terms of service. Oh really? They are now formally advising users of a policy change where they will be 'asking' for permission to use their content. It is true that they weren't asking previously, so I'll give them some credit on that one. They've come a long way from taking without your permission, to now asking for permission lol.
I’m sure you’re probably ahead of me on this one but I’ve found duck duck go on Brave browser to be pretty ‘privacy’ friendly. And ProtonMail for my emails and I’m pretty secure for free.
Yep for sure! I use all of those tools you mentioned myself:)
Brave was nice when it had no ads.
Now that it plasters all the coin religion all over the screen it just feels hypocritical...
I can see your point but nobody is altruistic enough to create a browser and not at least want to make a buck as well.
When you make 1 buck, and someone who tells you what to do and filters your net with DRM shit makes 3 bucks of your back then you gained -1 buck.
When that someone does that with everyone then what's the point in making -1 bubuck with the masses?
The one who makes 0 bucks will gain 1 buck worth of freedom?
..Yeah i suck at math.. I'll never be rich...
But I might be slightly less in debt?
Oh, I don't know where my logic comes from... just sharing my thoughts ....
I think your knowledge of this topic is better than mine mate and that I may need to do a bit more research. But of the options available I’d choose Brave right now over any of the more mainstream/common choices.
But is there a browser you would recommend instead?
meh, just thinking out loud. I know naaaaaathin'
Brave would be a lot better if there was an option to just tun the brave ads off.
I don't have any need for coin ads. if some coin is better then another coin then i'd like to hear it by word of mouth. Not by a brainwash bullshit ad that's being pushed by money to make us believe it is better.
So, if Brave is not having an option to block the BS, then lets see how long it takes for someone to make a good old uhm... ad blocker for the very browser that blocks ads...
So backwards... hehe
Now I thought you could opt out of watching Ads etc in Brave but that you just wouldn’t earn any BAT if you made that choice. But I normally just use Brave on my mobile, so possibly I’m wrong and my browser needs updating on my PC.
If you’re right and an add blocking program is needed for the Ad blocking browser that would most definitely be the epitome of irony.
hmmm will have a look at that next time i try brave again.
couldn't find that option quick enough.. and then i just removed the thing again ...
