The Diary Game I June 3, 2022 I "Meeting with the Parents"

Another day full of hope my dear steemian friends!

It has been a very busy week for me at school. So glad, I have this enough time to continue my part being a steemian.

For those past weeks and even until now, I engaged into different meetings with colleagues and superiors in preparation for this face to face "moving up ceremony". One big task, we did is to gather parents or guardians in planning for their children's upcoming big event.

I, being the coordinator and all grade 10 advisers arrived early at 6:30 yesterday's morning to the venue where we held our general assembly. Some male teachers gathered the chairs while we did the cleaning of the ground.

Although the meeting proper would start at 1:30 in the afternoon, we prepared the venue at 9:00 and made sure that everything was set before the parents' arrival. The grade 10 advisers were seated in front near so the parents would easily notice them and if ever they have questions it can be easily addressed.

I could see the parents' excitement on how they really showed support and all agreed if we would have this face to face moving up ceremony. Last year, we were not able to have this because of Covid 19 virus but it's good that most people now are all vaccinated and there is a decreasing number of covid patients.

As our school head, presented the planned, all parents really raised their hands that they agreed and willing to support whatever program the school will prepare for the benefit of their children. For us teachers, even though it was raining and we're tired doing school tasks we were truly happy for this that after one year of doing social distancing and not seeing our students face to face, it's really great that we have this chance of celebrating their success of junior high school with us.
