On the 24th of August 2008, a story of love had begun. My college block mate, co-DOST scholar, and friend became my boyfriend. It was a decision I never really thought so much of. I must admit, I was just giving him a chance and since we were already part of a circle of friends, I thought why not?

That "give him a chance" went from just friends to developing deeper feelings, knowing him more, testing his commitment, and finally tying the knot. It all started on the 24th of August, 2008.

Fourteen years after, we are still here, more committed, with our only son, more dedicated to nourishing our little family to be a Christ-centered one. Thank God for the 14 years! It felt like it was just yesterday when I said "yes", we had experienced a lot of challenges, hurdles, struggles, pains, physical problems, ectopic pregnancy, and a long-distance relationship, but now, we are stronger than ever, more united than before all because of the grace of God.

It is something to celebrate and so we decided to take a little time out of home and celebrate this milestone at Erve's Oasis, it's the nearest place that we believe we could spend some quality time together over dinner.

Erve's Oasis is located in Duero, Bohol, it's just the next town so by four in the afternoon, after the husband's daily meeting with their client, we went down the road and headed to the said restaurant.

It isn't our first time coming here. We had been here a few times before already. Our first time was when we celebrated my mother's birthday than a lot of other times too when I am just craving pizza and milk tea.

What's nice about this place is the presence of so many plants. It is in fact an oasis taking into consideration that it sits just right nearby the shoreline!

This photo above shows how the garden looks from the window of the restaurant. They also serve milk tea here so there's a tiny cafe upon entering the vicinity and that's also where we have to give our orders. We have given the menu right away upon entry.

I realized that they had increased their prices! As I was flipping into the menu, I was feeling anxious, the prices were too much now! Imagine eating a regular-sized pizza priced at Php 590 or more, that's around 46.2 Steem.

After a lot of contemplation, we decided to have their Erve's Burger, this is a huge one and is good for four heads so we believe it would be enough for us. We also got Matti one serving of French fries and their special halo halo as our dessert.

It's been awhile as well that I had eaten a good burger since what's always available to us are just those from Angel's Burger which is not of high quality.

While the food was being prepared, we went roaming around the vicinity. There were only us, no other customers were around so we had the place to ourselves.

There's a mini waterfall which Matti enjoyed observing, there are also fishes there but they are not very visible because the water is a little murky but I love the sound of the water falling into the mini pond.

Then Matti went running around their lawn. There are tables available here for dine in, they also got an open space area for those who want to dine in in a shaded area. That's where we had dinner back then. Today, we were planning to eat at the lawn. The restaurant also accepts wedding bookings and other events.

We headed to the end of the lawn and saw the shoreline. It's a low tide and we decided to go down. It was already sunset but the sky's looking gray, it seemed like rain was coming so we just let Matti pickup some rocks and throw them into the water.

We spotted a lot of birds in groups flying. My husband took some video shots of them. I hope he can edit them soon!

It was already sundown, one of the staff were looking for us and was wondering why we were not around. Good thing she looked to the shore and found us. She was asking where we want our table to be set.

She recommended having dinner just right next to the seawall. I agreed with her so she got the tables and chairs and started serving our orders.

They got the lights turned on, and the photo above on the left was our table, it felt romantic with those string lights there. The only problem though was that there were mosquitos around and stray cats asking for food!

We settled in the table, our burger was served, it was looking really huge! Matti got his fries too and started eating right away. Our special halo halo was also served together with everything but the issue was that the icecream had already melted and the ice too so it was overflowing!

We found it relaxing to hear the sound of the waves crashing the shoreline. It felt nice to eat here and the burger looks really appetizing too!

The knife that it came with it was so huge! The burger was indeed really big and can serve perhaps to more than four people but because we were hungry and it was already late, we actually finish the burger! It was amazing!

The meat was tender but as soon as we got to the middle part, I felt some hard meat there, the cheese was not fully melted but it's alright. The sauce was nice though but the bread was not remarkable. I know they bake their own bread but this one looks like it was baked from yesterday or so.

Still, we finished it. The halo halo again was disappointing. I told my husband to mix it but he noticed there were no ice in it. I guessed it had already melted. The icecream was also melting and was already down to the table.

We went home after finishing the halo halo, I was still very full though. I paid a total of Php 820 or 65.5 Steem for that dinner. I guess we won't be coming back soon, the prices of the food here are already too much, we compared it to Bugnaw Si-e's restaurant which had good serving and the price was just understandable.
