No Effort Is Ever Wasted

It is no secret to everyone one here or at least to my friends here that I am a food vlogger in YouTube and Facebook. I have started by vlogging journey way back 2019 a year after I joined Steemit. It was in the third quarter of 2019 that I started to create videos of the food I usually prepare for my family and uploaded in YouTube and I ended up doing it until today. It was my goal to get my channel monetized.

To my surprise, the first food video that I ever uploaded in YouTube got recommended by the YouTube algorithm that gained me more subscribers and the required watch hours for monetization. It was April 2020 that my channel got monetized, 8 months after my first upload. It was and is never an easy journey. I wanted to succeed in what I do, so I had to exert more effort and time from cooking the food recipe while filming it, to editing, uploading and marketing. It all started by me doing all these important things. Eventually my husband, Jay, joined me in this venture.

Along with the YouTube Channel, I also created a Facebook page with the same content but I was not so focused on the said platform then. It was just a year ago that I started to put more attention to it and had the goal for the said page to get monetized too! Few months back, the page is already eligible for ads on Reels and Stars. I earned few Stars but yet enough to reach the payout. :D As of this moment, my husband and I is aiming for the monetization of our videos in our page. I have been consistently posting for more than a month now and surprisingly some of the videos in our Page got recommended by the Facebook algorithm and had gained hundreds and thousands of views and we are near to completing the required watch hours for monetization.

All our efforts will soon pay off! It is when we are consistent and determine to reach a specific goal that we are able to achieve it. As I said, it is never an easy journey. This holds true to whatever goal we set for ourselves. At times, we may get demotivated to continue, but let us dust off the negative feeling and stand on our feet and pursue to reach our dreams.

Just like being here in Steemit, it also takes time, effort and our ability to put our thoughts into writing makes the difference. These things will help us thrive in this platform. It may not be as rewarding at times but these efforts is not wasted as long as we continue to be active and improve ourselves along the way.
