The city where I live now has a lot of traffic. Going to one city to another is real hassle and it takes a lot of time waiting on the road. It feels frustrating especially when the weather does not cooperate and the taxi or cab doesn't smells good. Having that trouble one time with my wife, she almost throw up. She's not comfortable having an air freshener in the cab.

So taking a ferry going to another city has been an option for us after that incident. During the pandemic, the ferry wasn't open to public and it has a lot of requirements so we opted to use grab, taxi or jeepneys going somewhere.

When we arrived at the port, we need to buy ticket going to terminal 3. This is located in Cebu city, while I live in Lapu-Lapu city. It's another beautiful island of the country.

Each ticket cost 23 pesos or roughly 1.23 steem and that includes 12*% VAT. This is a lot cheaper and convenient going to Cebu city. A lot of people would also prefer to use the ferry mostly those who are closer in the Lapu-Lapu city port.

After we bought tickets, we need to write our name for headcount and for contact tracing as well. The schedule of the first trip from Lapu-Lapu city to Cebu city starts at 6 in the morning while from Cebu city to Lapu-Lapu City (Opon) starts at 6:30 in the morning. For the last trip is at 6:30 pm from Lapu-Lapu city while 7 pm from Cebu city.

In taking the ferry also takes time of waiting, but at least 15-20 minutes isn't that bad for me because there's a good breeze and open air. When the ferry arrived, the people slowly went to to the ramp carefully. It was low tide during that time.

When the ferry was in a hundred capacity and everyone was settled, we left the port with a nice weather. Seeing those high buildings both side made me think that Cebu city is very progressive especially now that we have the third bridge to be open soon.

The third bridge is on a far side after the boat.

We arrived at the terminal 3 in Cebu city port and there were bunch of people waiting to go to Lapu-Lapu port. They have made a good choice in taking ferry. Anyways, there's a good amount tricycle they could use upon arrival to the next port.

So to those from my city and the other cities who wants to travel back and forth, I personally suggest to take a ferry especially during rush hour and during mid-day. It's less hassle and more convenient.

I am inviting @georgie84 @jes88 @kyrie1234 to share your ferry boat experience. See you!

It's fun to experience them! But I like taking boat most of the times
