RE: The Project - a fable
We indeed have and those are the most dangerous ones, the good looks and smooth talking. They seem to take advantage of that.... Being blind and deaf might open our eyes and ears for real, since we are no longer fooled by appearance and voices.
A fellow friend wrote about her attempted one-night stand with this smooth-talking good-looking guy that turned out to be a psycho that slapped and tried to strangle her in the middle of it. Thank goodness she was strong enough to fight him off. Imagine he wasn't good-looking and not charming at all, maybe she won't even look at him and he wouldn't have the chance to do things like that.
I imagine and with many women do and believe it or not a huge percentage tries to ignore ugliness, since if it comes to it the inside and above all humour counts the most. This by the way, doesn't mean ugly men don't misbehave and tend to believe they are the cherry on the pie.
More likely we attract a certain type of friends.
