Dear diary, due to my journey this morning, I woke up by 5am to get set before 6am because from my inquiry yesterday, I was told that the first bus may depart by past 6am or 6:30. That means I had to be in the park by 6am. I also made arrangements yesterday with a tricycle driver residing close to my street to convey me to the park.

When I woke up, I had my bath and we had morning devotion. Afterwards, I put my things together, while doing that, I received a call from the driver that he is at my gate. My sister helped me with the bag downstairs while she went to open the gate for the driver after putting my box inside the tricycle, and saying goodbye to my mum and sister we headed straight to the park. Getting to the back I was expecting to see more passengers in a park but to my surprise there was no passenger in the park meaning that I have to wait for sometime before our vehicle will be ready. 4 minutes later one other passenger join me then we were directed to a place to sit as we wait for other passengers.

Sit Out
While we were waiting, the place we were asked to sit, the flies there were too much, because I think its used as a restaurant. So sitting there was not really an option for me because I wasn't comfortable so I decided to move around a bit, I noticed I wasn't the only one that was disturbed by The Fly, there were two other guys that was also not comfortable. While I moved, I stopped at the entrance of the park where the other two guys that was not comfortable by the Flies we're standing by the entrance of the park gisting, so I join them in their discussion. Standing for some minutes going to two hours, we're supposed to leave for Ibadan by 6:30 at most 7a.m. but at this time it was already 8:30 a.m.

I was already getting tired of standing and waiting for the bus to be ready if I had known that it would take this long then I wouldn't have prepared to come as early as 6 a.m. At last by 8:56a.m, we were called into the bus before now I had planned out my journey that the journey will start by 7 a.m. then we'll get to Ibadan buy at most 1 p.m. then I would have enough time to stop by secretariat to finish my business there before going to Lagos later in the evening at most 3 p.m. to meet my sister because we had scheduled to go to market together the next morning but the journey starting by 9 a.m. means that we will get to Ibadan by 3 p.m. so my journey to Lagos is cancelled automatically.

Trailer Incident
On our way going we stopped by total filling station to get fuel after filling up the tank, we continued the journey. There was an empty seat that was reserved for a passenger in Sapele so we are to stop by Sapele to pick up the passenger. when we got to Sapele the driver called The Office but they said the passenger is no longer available so we continued down to Edo state, before we got to Edo state, we saw this trailer that fell, I guess it's due to bad road and poor maintenance of the trailer that coursed the incident. We were supposed to go through the major road that led to Ondo state but the driver pass-through Benin town.

Benin Road Flood
There was traffic in Benin due to the heavy rain that fell so the road was a bit flooded with vehicles moving slowly. At first we were wondering why he was taking that route but later we got to understand that he was looking for a passenger to fill up the extra seat and going through that routes took 2 hours of our time. it was really annoying and there was an outbreak of quarrel between the driver and most of the passengers inside the bus, the quarrel took a long time to settle and the driver was driving and quarreling at long last everyone was calm even though they were angry of what just transpired.

We Had A Little Break
At last we got to Ore, there is a place to stop in Ore where you can get something to eat either food or fruits and you can also ease yourself before continuing with your journey everyone got down from the bus to get what they needed I got apple for myself and water because I don't like eating while travelling, some minutes later we were ready to leave and we all got into the bus then the driver drove off. On our way, going 2 minutes later a passenger beside me said she forgot her phone where she went to use the toilet so we had to go back hoping the phone will still be there where she left it luckily for her when she came down from the bus to the toilet to get the phone it was where she left it everyone was happy for her that the phone wasn't stolen by someone else so we continued our journey to Ibadan.

Waiting For The Vehicle To Be Fixed
When we got to Ijebuode, which is some minutes to get to Ibadan our vehicle started making some strange sound, the driver noticed and reduced the speed to understand where the sound was coming from so he packed the vehicle in a petrol station where he noticed a mechanic workshop inside the station but when we got inside the station, the guys were working on a vehicle so we had to wait for him to be done before checking what's up with our vehicle. We waited for more than 30 minutes before they decided to check what was up with ours.

We spent an hour in the petrol station, when the vehicle was fixed we entered and continued our journey down to Ibadan, with in an hour we arrived at Ibadan but there was traffic in Ibadan so it delayed for a while before it got to my stop. We arrived at Ibadan, my stop precisely by 6:15 p.m. the journey was one hell of a long one when I alighted from the bus I stopped a bike that will convey me to my apartment getting to my Junction, the bike driver refuse to continue because the road is a bit sloppy but I told him we agreed that he was going to take me to my apartment, he said that he doesn't want to fall from the bike with me and my bag. When he insisted I settled him and I was upset because of the stress of carrying my bag, the box and my school bag so I called my neighbour who came to help me with my bag while I roll down my box.

I've been away for months so getting into my room the whole place was dusty with cobwebs and I was already tired. I spent some minutes in my neighbor's house to rest a little first before starting cleaning up in my room after cleanup I ate dinner which was spaghetti after which I had to rest.

That's how my day went, it was well spent, how was yours?
