The Diary Game: 20th September, 2020: Early Sunday Work

Dear diary, I had a good day but the early hours of my day was stressful because I was really feeling sleepy. We had work this morning, so I and some of my colleagues spent the night at the office. I slept in early because of the early morning job we had. I woke up by some minutes past 1am whereby most of my colleagues were already awake.

Getting to the main office, my boss was directing my colleague on a recipe for the snacks we had to make. I was with my book and pen, writing down the recipe and procedure on how its done. We made different pastries and snacks, after writing down the recipe, I assisted in the areas where I was needed. I got to understand how to fry the doughnut, how to cut the sausage roll and other stuff. We started the whole precess by 1am and finished by 7am, we would have rounded up earlier but while baking, the gas got exhausted. The time it took to refill it cut into our time.

The doughnut took quite a while because after mixing, we had to leave it to rise before frying on low heat and the pan we used was a small pan. While frying, it has to be monitored so it won't get burnt.

When we were done with the snacks and pastries, my boss made these designs within 15minutes. After which we arranged them and took them to the vehicle. Getting back to the office, we had a lot of cleaning to do. I and another colleague, washed all that needed to be washed while others mopped, arranged and swept the work place.

It was already 8am when I finished washing and I was feeling tired and sleepy not sure if I would make it to church today. Getting home, I jumped on my bed and slept till 11am. When I woke up, I brushed my teeth, went into the kitchen and made fried yam and egg for lunch. After eating, washed the dishes and had my bath before going back to bed to watch a movie on my laptop. I was indoor all day.
