¡Saludos!... Un cordial saludo a todos los miembros de la comunidad #vintagerockmusic y al resto de la gran familia #steemit. Me contenta mucho unirme a esta comunidad que trata sobre algo que eh tomado como modo de vida por muchos años.
El Rock y Metal, este último quizás no muy comentado en esta comunidad, son parte fundamental de mi vida y desde muy joven ha sido fuente de inspiración, alegría, fuerza, entre muchas cosas.
En ese largo camino que he recorrido en este mundo musical muchos han sido los conciertos a los cuales eh tenido la oportunidad de participar. He podido ver presentaciones de bandas locales en pequeños clubes de diferentes ciudades de Venezuela, así como de bandas nacionales consolidadas en el ámbito del rock y metal del país y las visitas de grandes bandas internacionales.
Van Halen, Saga, Roger Waters, Quiet Riot, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Dream Theater, Sonata Artica, entre otras han sido las que eh visto a nivel anglo. Baron Rojo, Obus, Mago de Oz, War Cry, Soda Stereo, Café Tacuva, entre otras, las que eh presenciado a nivel hispanoamericano. Arkangel, Gillman, Resistencia, Grand Bite, La Misma Gente, Torre de Marfil, Tierra del Dragón, son algunas que he visto a nivel nacional.
Para este concurso viajaran, conmigo, al pasado. Exactamente al sábado 28 de abril del año 2007. El estacionamiento del complejo deportivo bicentenario Simón Bolívar de la ciudad de Valencia, Estado Carabobo en Cenezuela, fue el sitio donde nos dimos cita los asistentes al GillmanFest Carabobo 2007, ROCK POR LA INTEGRACION.
En dicho evento se presentarían tres bandas catalogadas como representantes dignos del metal en Suramérica. Por primera las agrupaciones Rata Blanca de Argentina, Kraken de Colombia y Gillman de Venezuela compartirían juntas un escenario.
El compartir de escenario de estas tres bandas legendarias en el continente sudamericano, consideradas en esa época y en la actualidad referentes del metal sudamericano, atrajo una gran cantidad de público que se daba sita para compartir la hermandad metalera.
Como era un festival el cartel no estaba compuesto solo por estas tres bandas legendaria. Allegro Andantino, Santo Greal y Gastonia. Fueron las bandas encargadas de darle apertura al evento a la hora programada para el inicio.
A pesar que la apertura de puerta estaba programada para las 4 de la tarde de ese día, ya éramos muchos quienes hacíamos acto de presencia en el lugar pautado desde el mediodía de esa fecha.

Generalmente en los GillmanFest, que fueron 31 en 13 años, se creaba una especie de bazar afuera y dentro del recinto donde se realizaban los eventos. En estos bazares se podía conseguir puestos de venta de material referente a este estilo musical. Franelas alusivas a grupos de metal, disco, material POP, eran parte de los artículos que se podían adquirir. Aparte de poder comer algún aperitivo o beber algo de licor junto a amigos, conocidos y extraños, lo cuales muchas veces se convertían en compañeros de conciertos.
Avanzo el reloj y luego de comprar algunas franelas alusivas al concierto y una que otra de algún grupo de metal de mi preferencia, comer algunos perros calientes y beber unas cuantas cervezas, llego la hora de entrar a la zona donde se presentarían las bandas.
En esta edición las bandas que se presentaban están escogidas bajo el estilo del Heavy Metal. En futuras ediciones se dio entrada a bandas más extremas complaciendo al grueso de los seguidores del metal.
Allegro Andantino fu la banda en dar apertura a las presentaciones musicales. El segundo turno fue para Santo Greal y Gastonia cerro la participación de los locales en el festival. A pesar que la mayoría de los asistentes iban por las bandas, que generalmente se les catalogan de cabeza de cartel, el apoyo a las bandas locales fue bastante grande. Esto creo un buen ambiente que fue ganado por el buen desenvolvimiento de dichas bandas.
Comenzó a caer la noche y se acercaba la gora de la presentación de las bandas legendaria del cartel.
El primer turno fue para la banda de Heavy Metal Kraken dignos representantes del metal del país cafetero del continente. Para mi volver a ver en vivo a Kraken fui muy significativo. Muchos de sus temas tienen contenido social de alto interés de quienes seguimos a esta banda. Posee temas que se consideran clásicos a nivel de Hispanoamérica.
Elkin Ramírez, que lamentablemente dejo este plano existencial en enero del 2017, dejo un legado de alto nivel que no podrá ser superado por muchísimo tiempo. Sus composiciones llevaron a esta banda a ser importante en toda Colombia y conseguir un estatus que hasta hoy se mantiene.

Gracias al compromiso, ética, profesionalismo, calidad, Kraken pudo visitar muchos países entre los cuales se destacan Estados Unidos, México, Argentina, Canadá, Perú, España, Japón, entre otros. Esto los consolido aun mas en el sitial que se encuentran.
Esta era la tercera vez que tenía la oportunidad de ver esta banda en Venezuela y esta presentación no me defraudo para nada. Temas como Vestidos de Cristal, Muere Libre, Escudo y Espadas, Frágil al Viento, fuero del deleite mío y del resto de los asistentes.
Quizás el pico más alto de la presentación de la banda colombiana fue cuando Elkin Ramírez invito al escenario al anfitrión del evento, el cantante Paul Gillman, para que juntos cantaran el tema icono de la loa banda Hijos del Sur. Este tema se considera un himno de protesta y reivindicación de la cultura Latinoamérica.

terminada la presentación de la banda del país cafetero se dio una brecha de 15 minutos de tiempo que sirvieron para un par de cosas. La primera fue la preparación de la presentación de la segunda banda de leyenda en el concierto. La segunda una brecha para quienes asistíamos al evento pudiéramos refrescarnos un poco con una buena cerveza fría.
Siguió avanzando el reloj y llego el tiempo para la presentación del anfitrión del evento.
Gillman es una banda originaria de Venezuela y esta liderada por Paul S. Gillman quien inició su carrera musical con la banda Power Age la cual luego se llamó Arkangel. Al cabo de algunos años Paul abandona la banda para dedicarse a su proyecto p0ersola.
Allí nace la banda Gillman y presenta su primer trabajo discográfico Levántate y Pelea el cual es considerado uno de los mejores trabajos de este canta-autor. En su carrera existen buenos trabajos discográficos que lo han llevado a tener un sitial de honor dentro del ambiente del metal venezolano y de Hispanoamérica.
Paul Gillman es el creador y desarrollador, junto a pequeños empresarios, de los GillmanFest. Desde su primera edición ha presentado como cabeza de cartel a bandas de renombre de nivel internacional. En 2005 el lugar de honor fue para Paul Di’Anno, ex vocal de la banda inglesa Iron Maiden.

Led Zep (Tributo internacional oficial a Lep Zeppelin), Live (Tributo internacional Oficial a AC/DC), Testament, Megadeth, Dios Salve a la Reina (Tributo internacional Oficial a Queen), Lujuria, Tim "Ripper" Owens, (Ex vocal de Judas Priest) The Iron Maidens (tributo internacional oficial femenino a Iron Maiden), Ross The Boss, Overkill, Uriah Heep, Destruction, Tren Loco, Fear Factory, Barilari, Sepultura, Saxon, Annihilator, Leo Jimenez, entre otros fueron cabezas de cartel en los diferentes festivales que se realizaron después del primero.
Paul Gillman presento su repertorio agitando a los asistentes al evento. Levántate y Pelea, La Historia del Anticristo, El Guerrero, El Extraño Caso de Petare, La Sayona, El tirano Aguirre, El Carretón, entre otras, fueron bien recibidas por el público asistente.
La bandera de Venezuela ondeó en alto sobre el escenario acompañada de la bandera del Movimiento del Rock Nacional, símbolo emblemático del movimiento metalero desde la década de los 80’s.

Luego de un par de horas La Banda Gillman se retiró para dar paso a la presentación de la vedet de la noche. Otro espacio para hidratación de los asistentes y para preparar el escenario para la última banda de la noche.

El poder del lado Oscuro abre el repertorio de la banda del país del tango y una ebullición de energía domina el recinto donde se presentaba la legendaria banda. Mujer Amante, Guerrero del Arcoíris, ***
La interpretación de Walter Giardino con su guitarra estuvo a la altura de las circunstancias, demostrando la increíble capacidad de ejecución de este músico con su instrumento. La voz de Adrián Barilari mostro la alta calidad que posee a través del tiempo, y en la actualidad eso no ha cambiado.

El Camino del Sol, Cuarto Poder, Aun estas en mis Sueños. Índigo, Bajo el Poder del Sol, entre otros temas, fuero parte del repertorio de la banda del sur de Sudamérica.
Y claro que no podía faltar la obra maestra de esta banda, La Leyenda del Haga y el Mago, tema que los lleva cruzar las fronteras del país y los consolido en el ámbito del metal a nivel iberoamericano.

Más de dos horas de presentación que dejaron bien satisfechos a quienes asistimos a este evento.
En verdad una noche mágica llena de metal en el idioma de Bolívar, Nariño y Belgrano.
Compartir con amigos y conocido una noche llena de metal, alcohol, risas y buena música. Este es uno de los conciertos más significativos al cual he asistido en mi vida. No solo por el metal, también porque fue en mi idioma natal, con temas que representan un momento particular de mi vida, de mi ideología, de mi modo de ser.

Greetings!... Warm greetings to all the members of the #vintagerockmusic community and the rest of the great #steemit family. I am very happy to join this community that deals with something that I have taken as a way of life for many years.
Rock and Metal, the latter perhaps not very commented in this community, are a fundamental part of my life and since I was very young has been a source of inspiration, joy, strength, among many things.
In this long road that I have traveled in this musical world there have been many concerts in which I have had the opportunity to participate. I have been able to see presentations of local bands in small clubs in different cities of Venezuela, as well as national bands consolidated in the field of rock and metal of the country and the visits of big international bands.

For this contest you will travel, with me, to the past. Exactly to Saturday, April 28, 2007. The parking lot of the bicentennial sports complex Simon Bolivar in the city of Valencia, Carabobo State in Cenezuela, was the place where we met the attendees to the GillmanFest Carabobo 2007, ROCK FOR INTEGRATION.
In this event three bands catalogued as worthy representatives of the metal in South America would be presented. For the first time the groups Rata Blanca from Argentina, Kraken from Colombia and Gillman from Venezuela would share a stage together.
The sharing of the stage of these three legendary bands in the South American continent, considered at that time and nowadays referents of South American metal, attracted a great amount of public that came to share the metal brotherhood.
As it was a festival, the line-up was not only composed by these three legendary bands. Allegro Andantino, Santo Greal and Gastonia. They were the bands in charge of opening the event at the scheduled start time.
Although the opening of the door was scheduled for 4 pm that day, there were already many of us who were present at the scheduled place since noon on that date.

Generally in the GillmanFest, which were 31 in 13 years, a kind of bazaar was created outside and inside the enclosure where the events were held. In these bazaars you could find stalls selling material related to this musical style. T-shirts alluding to metal bands, records, POP material, were part of the items that could be purchased. Besides being able to eat a snack or drink some liquor with friends, acquaintances and strangers, which often became concert companions.
I advance the clock and after buying some t-shirts allusive to the concert and one or another of some metal band of my preference, eating some hot dogs and drinking a few beers, it was time to enter the area where the bands would perform.
In this edition the bands that were presented were chosen under the Heavy Metal style. In future editions more extreme bands were introduced to please the bulk of the metal fans.
Allegro Andantino was the band that opened the musical presentations. The second turn was for Santo Greal and Gastonia closed the participation of the locals in the festival. Even though most of the attendees were going for the bands that are usually considered headliners, the support for the local bands was quite big. This created a good atmosphere that was won by the good performance of these bands.
The night began to fall and the time for the presentation of the legendary bands on the bill was approaching.
The first turn was for the Heavy Metal band Kraken worthy representatives of the metal from the coffee country of the continent. For me to see Kraken live again was very meaningful. Many of their songs have social content of high interest for those of us who follow this band. They have songs that are considered classics in Latin America.
Elkin Ramirez, who unfortunately left this existential plane in January 2017, left a legacy of high level that will not be surpassed for a long time. His compositions led this band to be important throughout Colombia and achieve a status that to this day remains.

Thanks to the commitment, ethics, professionalism, quality, Kraken was able to visit many countries including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Peru, Spain, Japan, among others. This consolidated them even more in the place where they are now.
This was the third time I had the opportunity to see this band in Venezuela and this presentation did not disappoint me at all. Songs like Vestidos de Cristal, Muere Libre, Escudo y Espadas, Frágil al Viento, were a delight for me and the rest of the audience.
Perhaps the highest peak of the Colombian band's performance was when Elkin Ramirez invited the host of the event, singer Paul Gillman, to the stage to sing together the band's iconic song Hijos del Sur. This song is considered an anthem of protest and vindication of Latin American culture.

After the presentation of the band from the coffee country there was a gap of 15 minutes of time that served for a couple of things. The first was the preparation for the presentation of the second legend band in the concert. The second was a gap for those of us who were attending the event to refresh ourselves with a nice cold beer.
The clock kept ticking and it was time for the presentation of the host of the event.
Gillman is a band originally from Venezuela and is led by Paul S. Gillman who began his musical career with the band Power Age which was later called Arkangel. After a few years Paul leaves the band to dedicate himself to his project p0ersola.
There the band Gillman is born and presents his first album Levántate y Pelea which is considered one of the best works of this singer-songwriter. In his career there are good albums that have led him to have a place of honor in the Venezuelan and Latin American metal scene.

Paul Gillman presented his repertoire stirring up the attendees of the event. Levántate y Pelea, La Historia del Anticristo, El Guerrero, El Extraño Caso de Petare, La Sayona, El Tirano Aguirre, El Carretón, among others, were well received by the audience.
The Venezuelan flag waved high over the stage accompanied by the flag of the Movimiento del Rock Nacional, emblematic symbol of the metal movement since the 80's.

After a couple of hours the Gillman Band left to give way to the presentation of the vedet of the night. Another space for hydration of the attendees and to prepare the stage for the last band of the night.

More than two hours of presentation that left well satisfied those who attended this event.
Truly a magical night full of metal in the language of Bolivar, Nariño and Belgrano.
Sharing with friends and acquaintances a night full of metal, alcohol, laughter and good music. This is one of the most significant concerts I have ever attended in my life. Not only because of the metal, but also because it was in my native language, with songs that represent a particular moment in my life, my ideology, my way of being.

A fijate @hanselmusic eres cafetero... que bien bro... Kraken es lo maximo... lasuma la muerte de elkin quien era el pilar de la banda... ya sin el no creo que la banda sea la misma.
