Better Life with Steem || THE DIARY GAME ||21-09-2026|sad day
Assalamu Alaikum,
Hello everyone,
I am @afrinn
From #Bangladesh
Assalamu Alaikum. I hope everyone is healthy and well by the grace of Allah; Alhamdulillah, I am doing well too. Today, I am presenting a "Day in the Life" post, and I hope you all enjoy it. Let’s get started. I woke up in the morning and gradually began attending to my various chores. We had some green chilies with our meal. Afterward, I freshened up and washed my children's faces and hands. My youngest daughter loves dressing up, so I tied her hair into a ponytail. She was delighted when I did that, and seeing her happiness made me feel wonderful. Then, I prepared a light meal and sent some of the food

—such as lentils and fish—to the neighbors. We all ate together, and afterwards, the children and I spent some time looking at our mobile phones. Since the sun was blazing and it was very hot, we lay down on the floor. I was suffering from a bad headache; intense sunlight often makes me feel unwell. I had a brain tumor in my childhood, and although medication has kept it somewhat under control, I feel quite sick when exposed to strong sunlight or when under stress. So, I was feeling pretty bad today due to the heat. However, despite feeling unwell, I still had to handle my responsibilities myself. After resting a bit, I prepared to start my afternoon tasks.
In the afternoon, I bathed and freshened up along with the children. Then, I went to prepare a meal. After finishing the cooking, I took some time to rest with the kids. Soon, some children from the neighborhood arrived, and they all started playing together; my children even played Kanamachi (Blind Man's Buff). Watching this game brought back memories of my own childhood, as we used to play it frequently. Seeing them play suddenly reminded me of those early days. In this way, the afternoon passed happily and transitioned into the late afternoon.

Later, I went for a walk and visited a shop to buy some snacks. My children really love things like noodles and biscuits, so I picked up some light snacks—biscuits and chanachur—for them. After they had their snacks, we headed back home. Once we returned, the children played a little more as evening began to set in. That is how the evening unfolded.

I really enjoy having yogurt in the evening, so we all—including my child—had some. Afterward, the kids went to sleep,
and I spent some time watching TikTok. Just as I finished, I suddenly heard the news that a classmate of mine had passed away in a motorcycle accident. Hearing this made me feel terrible and left me in a state of shock; I was deeply shaken, especially since he was only 25 years old. It was such a sudden and tragic loss. I pray that he is granted a place in Jannatul Firdaus (Paradise). All in all, it has been a very sad day because of this news.

(This is the friend I have lost forever. The photo is taken from Facebook 🥲🥲🥲)
🥲🥲🥲 Yet, when loved ones and friends leave us, there is nothing to do but pray for them. I always pray for him; may Allah grant him Jannah. Please keep him in your prayers as well. So, friends, that was a story from a sad day of mine. Stay healthy and take care, everyone. Allah Hafez.
