My Unic Hilsha Fish Recipe

Explanation of my Recipe

Today, I will share with you the recipe for Hilsa Fish Bhuna. Hilsa Bhuna is one of my favorite dishes. Without further delay, let's get started.


Step 01

First, I take a medium-sized hilsa fish out of the fridge. Then I cut it nicely and clean it thoroughly several times with fresh water. Next, I finely chop several onions and chilies.

Now, I place a pan on the stove. After heating the pan for a while, I add the right amount of oil. Once the oil is hot, I add the chopped onions and chilies. Using a spatula, I keep stirring them.


Step 03

After frying for a while, I gradually add other spices. First, I add one tablespoon of salt, then one teaspoon of turmeric powder, half a teaspoon of cumin powder, and one teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste to the onion and chili mixture. Now, I mix all the spices well using the spatula.

Next, I let it simmer for a while and add one teaspoon of chili powder. I fry the spices for a bit longer and add a small amount of water. After three to four minutes, when the spices are cooked properly, I mash them nicely.


Step 05

Then, I add about 300 ml of water. I increase the heat slightly and wait until the water comes to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, I add the pieces of hilsa fish.


Step 06

Now, I keep the heat high for a while and then reduce it. After some time, I lift the lid to check the water level and taste the dish. After simmering for a while, my hilsa fish bhuna is ready. I turn off the stove and transfer it to a bowl.

Finally, I take a picture of the hilsa fish bhuna using tags. I also capture a selfie with my dish.


Today's hilsa fish bhuna was very delicious. My husband told me this. His compliment is my inspiration and happiness. When a woman cooks with effort and sees her husband compliment the dish after eating, it brings immense joy to her.
