The process of making homemade steam pitha is simple, with a touch of tradition.
Assalamu alaikum Everyone. I am @imranhassan From #Bangladesh
This pitha made with a combination of rice flour, coconut and jaggery is a unique delight on a winter day, which fills the mind with its homely taste and aroma. In today's post, I am sharing with you the ever-familiar steam pitha that my wife and I made last night.

| There are some steps to follow to make Steam pitha, which I am sharing here now. |

Step -01
First, buy rice from the market, soak it for four to five hours, then dry it and grind it. It can be ground by hand or with the help of a machine. Then, to make steam pitha, the rice should be mixed with light water.
Step -02
After soaking the rice in water, leave it for a while because there is one more step left. Inside, we have to process what we mean by coconut flakes and sweet date molasses to make pitha.
Step -03
Then the wet rice flakes have to be filtered again nicely with a mosquito net or other net so that there are no lumps inside them so that they remain neat.
Step -04
Then you can see how beautiful and neat the wet rice flakes are after filtering them with a mosquito net or net, which you can see in the pot. This is the most important state for making steamed pitha. Here, the more you can mash the rice flakes, the more fluffy and smooth the pitha will be.
Step -05
Now you can see that some rice flour has been given in a small pot to make pitha. Then date molasses has been given on top of the rice flour, and coconut flakes have been given. Then again, cover them with some light amount of rice powder.
Step -06
In step number 6, the process of cooking pitha will start. Here we will put hot water in a pot and put a net or mesh cover on the mouth of the pot, on top of which we will put the pitha made in a small pot and put a lid on it.
Step -07
Steam pitha is made in the hot heat of hot water, and from that steam, steam pitha is made. This pitha is made in the hot heat of hot water as the rice powder and the sweet are boiled. Now you can see that I have taken pitha on a plate to eat, which you can say is served, and our pitha is now suitable for eating.
Step -08
When winter comes, when it is cold, we remember to eat pitha, and then we start this process as soon as possible and make the pitha and eat it immediately, and even when relatives come, we have a feeling of eating pitha. In each area, 'pitha' is called by a different name, but they all have the same name.
