SLC28-W2 // "Lentils Soup"

I invite all my Steemit friends to the second week of the Steemit Challenge competition.I hope all my friends are well and healthy. Alhamdulillah, by the infinite mercy of Allah, I am also well. Today I will share my entry in the SLC28-W2 // "Lentils Soup" competition. Through the competition, we will learn the techniques of making delicious and healthy soups. In the second week of the competition, we will explore the taste of lentil soup. Many thanks to @uzma4882 mam for organizing a great season.
Ingredients needed for Lentil Soup Recipe:

| Garlic | 4 cloves |
| Ginger paste | ½ tsp |
| Carrot | 1 pcs |
| Celery leaves chopped | 1 tbsp |
| Cabbage chopped | 1/2 cup |
| Turmeric Powder | ½ tsp |
| Cumin Powder | ½ tsp |
| Zera Powder | ½ tsp |
| Black pepper powder | ¼ tsp |
| Bay leaf | 1 pcs |
| Paprika powder | ½ tsp for taste |
| Salt | as quantity |
| Butter | ⅔ tsp |
| Water | 3 cups |
Preparations required for making lentil soup:
Step 1:
√ To make lentil soup, I used Yellow Moong Dal, Red Masoor lentil, and Sabut Masoor Dal. Then I washed the lentil very well and soaked it for 10 minutes to make it easier to cook.

Step 2:
√ To make lentil soup, I took carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, onions,ginger,garlic and celery leaves. I washed all the vegetables very well in clean water. Then I cut the vegetables into small pieces with the help of a knife as per the requirement.

Step 3:
I am using a pressure cooker to cook lentils and vegetables quickly. I first added three glasses of water to the pressure cooker, then poured the soaked three types of lentils into the pressure cooker. Then I added the chopped vegetables, tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, and chopped onions. At this stage, I added turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, paprika powder, and bay leaves. When the lentils, vegetables, and necessary spices were added to the pressure cooker, I stirred everything, closed the lid, and cooked.

Step 4:
√ After 4 whistles in the pressure cooker, I took it off the stove. At this stage, the lentils and vegetables became soft and creamy in a very short time. I let them cool for some time.

Step 5:
√ When the dal vegetable mixture has cooled down, I took the vegetables and dal in a blender jar and blended everything for 4-5 minutes. This will give a smooth mixture of vegetables and dal and will not waste extra time. Once blended, I will pour the vegetable dal mixture into a bowl.

Step 6:
√ Now I put a pan on the stove and add butter. When the butter is hot and melted, I add ginger, garlic and celery leaves and fry them gently. When a nice flavor spreads, I add the dal vegetable mixture. Then I mix everything together and stir.

Step 7:
I like my soup to have a thinner taste and texture, so I added 1 cup of water to the dal and vegetable mixture. Stir everything together and cook for 5 minutes. After five minutes, when the soup's taste and texture were ready, I sprinkled the chili powder and poured it into the bowl in which I would serve the soup.

🍲 what challenges do you face during making the soup and in list the prices of each ingredients in your local currency and steem
I did not face any challenge while making soup, but when I searched for Sabut Masoor Dal for making soup in super shops and grocery shops, I could not find it. Because Sabut Masoor Dal is not in season in my area now. After searching many shops, I got access to Sabut Masoor Dal. It was also a lot of joy for me. Lentil soup was my first and I made it successfully. It tasted great and it is not just a bowl of soup but a bowl of nutrition, which is very beneficial for our body.
I have listed the price of each ingredient in my local currency and Steem.

According to the above list, it cost me 177 bdt in local currency and 16 Steem to make the lentil soup.
🍲 What healthy nutrients are found in Lentils Soup and what is your personal experience of having a warmth and healthy lentil soup bowl in cozy and cold winter
Lentil soup is a very healthy, warming and nutritious dish that is great to enjoy especially on cold winter days. Lentil soup is rich in fiber, which plays a very important role in the body's digestion and bowels. Lentil soup helps regulate blood sugar levels. Lentil soup keeps the stomach full for a long time, which is why it is a suitable and comforting dish for winters. Lentils are rich in iron, which helps fight fatigue on winter days and energizes the body.
The potassium in it supports heart health and sodium helps maintain body balance. The magnesium present in lentil soup helps relax muscles, improves sleep and maintains nerve function. Carrots, tomatoes added to lentil soup enrich the bowl of soup. Vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin K in vegetables help keep the body healthy. Vitamin A is beneficial for eyesight and skin, vitamin C increases immunity, and vitamin K strengthens bones.
My personal experience of eating warm and healthy lentil soup in the cold and cozy winter.
On a winter evening when I want to warm myself up, there is no substitute for a bowl of lentil soup. A bowl of lentil soup gives me warmth and comfort on a winter evening. A bowl of hot lentil soup on a winter evening warms me from the inside and its taste brightens up my day. The world outside may be cold and foggy but a bowl of lentil soup inside has made my winter evening warm and cozy. It is not just a bowl of food, it is a warm feeling of winter.
