The important thing about solar panels.
Steemian Friends,
Today, I will discuss solar panels for solar power. We all know the basic concept of solar power. Electricity obtained from the sun is solar power. It is a renewable energy source. The more we use renewable energy, the more we can save money and protect the environment. With solar panels, we can easily generate electricity from the sun. Today, I will be introduced to different types of solar panels.
Solar panels first convert the energy from the sun into DC electricity. Solar panels contain PV cells. PV stands for Photovoltaic. PV cells work as semiconductor devices. A solar panel contains many small PV cells. Each PV cell produces DC electricity. I have shown several types of solar panels in the picture.
Each solar panel has PV cells connected in series and parallel. There is a cable connection and a connector at the back of the solar panel. The DC electricity generated from the solar panel goes to the battery, load, or inverter through the connector. According to the design of the solar panel cells, the output voltage at the connector is 12, 24, and 48 volts.

We have to buy the output voltage of the panel according to the load voltage of our customer. For example, if I have a 24-volt lamp or load in my house, then I have to use a 24-volt solar panel. However, if we want, we can make 24 volts by connecting two 12-volt solar panels in series or parallel.
Solar panels are available in the market in monocrystalline, polycrystalline, and thin-film. As an electrical engineer, I would recommend using monocrystalline-type solar panels. Monocrystalline-type solar panels have the highest efficiency and are durable.
Solar panels come in N-type and P-type. I would recommend using N-type solar panels. Although N-type solar panels are a bit more expensive, they are more efficient and last longer.
Hopefully, Steemian friends have learned a little about solar panels from my lesson today. If you want to know more about solar panels, you can ask questions in the comments. Best wishes to everyone.
