I am happy to participate here and thank you for organizing the engagement challenge. Today's topic is about National Festival. Many things are considered as national festivals in our country but I celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr as a Muslim so today my whole post is about Eid-ul-Fitr. So friends let's start without delay.

What is the national festival of your country? How did it start

Eid al-Fitr, often simply referred to as Eid, is a significant Islamic festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The origins of Eid al-Fitr can be traced back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad, who established it as a celebration after fasting during Ramadan.
The festival begins with the sighting of the new moon, which signifies the end of Ramadan. Muslims gather for special prayers, known as Eid prayers, usually held in mosques or large open spaces. After prayers, families and friends come together to enjoy festive meals and exchange gifts. Charity and acts of kindness are also emphasized during Eid, with Muslims encouraged to give to those in need.
Eid al-Fitr is a time of joy, gratitude, and reflection for Muslims, as they celebrate the completion of a month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual growth. It is a time for strengthening bonds with family and community, spreading happiness, and expressing gratitude for blessings received. The festival exemplifies the values of compassion, generosity, and unity that are central to the Islamic faith.

How is this festival celebrated? Are there any special rules for celebrating it?

Eid al-Fitr, also known as the Festival of Breaking the Fast, is celebrated by Muslims around the world to mark the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The celebration typically lasts for one to three days, depending on cultural and regional traditions. Here's how it's celebrated and some special rules associated with it:
  1. Prayer: The day starts with a special prayer called Salat al-Eid, performed in congregation at mosques or in large open areas. This prayer usually takes place early in the morning, often after sunrise.

  2. Charity: Giving to those in need, known as Zakat al-Fitr or Sadaqah al-Fitr, is a significant aspect of Eid al-Fitr. It's obligatory for those who can afford it to give a certain amount of money or food to the less fortunate before the Eid prayer. This ensures that everyone can partake in the festivities and enjoy a meal on this day.

  3. Family and Community Gatherings: After the prayer, families and friends come together to celebrate. They exchange gifts, share meals, and enjoy each other's company. It's a time for joy, forgiveness, and strengthening bonds within the community.

  4. Feasting: Special foods and sweets are prepared for the occasion, and elaborate feasts are enjoyed throughout the day. Traditional dishes vary by region but often include dishes like biryani, kebabs, samosas, and sweets like baklava or sheer khurma.

  5. Dressing up: People wear new or their best clothes for Eid prayers and festivities. It's common for Muslims to wear traditional attire that reflects their cultural heritage.

  6. Recitation of Takbir: In the days leading up to Eid, it's common for Muslims to recite the Takbir, which are phrases glorifying God. This serves as a reminder of the significance of the occasion and adds to the atmosphere of celebration.

As for special rules:

  • Fasting is prohibited on Eid al-Fitr: Unlike Ramadan, fasting on Eid al-Fitr is not allowed. It's a day of celebration and gratitude, so Muslims are encouraged to enjoy food and festivities with their loved ones.

  • Attendance at Eid prayer: While attending the Eid prayer is highly recommended, it's not considered obligatory for women, children, travelers, or the sick. However, it's encouraged for all who are able to attend.

Overall, Eid al-Fitr is a time of joy, reflection, and gratitude for Muslims worldwide, as they come together to celebrate the end of Ramadan and the blessings of the past month.

Are there any special outfits or foods for celebrating your national festival?

In Bangladesh, Eid al-Fitr is a vibrant celebration marked by special outfits and delectable foods. Traditional attire adorns the streets, with men donning panjabis or punjabis paired with pajamas or lungis, often accessorized with topis or kufis. Women elegantly dress in colorful sarees or stylish salwar kameez, embellished with intricate designs and accessories. The festivities are incomplete without indulging in a variety of mouthwatering sweets like rasgulla, chomchom, and sandesh, each offering a symphony of flavors and textures. Savory delights such as fragrant biryani, succulent kebabs, and aromatic pulao grace the tables, creating a feast for the senses. These special outfits and foods enhance the joyous atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr, bringing families and communities together in celebration.

Tell us about your favorite memory from celebrating your national festival.

One of my favorite memories from celebrating Eid al-Fitr is the tradition of giving and receiving Eid salami. The joy of exchanging heartfelt greetings and small gifts with family and friends is truly special. However, what stands out the most is the moment I gave Eid salami to my parents. It was a gesture filled with love and gratitude, symbolizing appreciation for their support and guidance throughout the year. The smiles on their faces and the warmth of their embrace made that Eid unforgettable, reinforcing the bonds of love and unity that define the spirit of the festival.

I would like to invite my friends.

@mrzubaer,,Greetings to this contest,,,

Eid-ul-Fitr is a very happy day for the Muslim Ummah. On this day, all Muslims forget all kinds of quarrels and hatred with each other and hug each other and hug each other. Which makes the bond of brotherhood between us stronger and stronger.

On the morning of Eid, wearing new Punjabi pajamas and taking Eid salami from the people is a great experience and a memorable memory. If you don't eat polap, meat cooked by your mother after returning home after performing Eid prayers, the joy of Eid will fade away.

Thank you so much for reminding me of the best moments of Eid-ul-Fitr through your post. Stay well. I wish you all the best in this competition.

• Best Regards,

Eid is not an ordinary day, but a special festival that has been given to Muslims by Allah Almighty. When Muslims fast for the whole month, they perform their spiritual worship and come to His presence. So, this is a gift given to Muslims by Allah, which we can estimate from the time of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
On this day, Muslims forget all their grudges and hatred and hug each other.Very good food is also arranged on this day, apart from this, the fun of taking and giving Eid is different.Glad to know that you give and receive Eids on Eid. It's a really nice way to exchange small gifts. It reminds you of your childhood days.Always be happy.Good luck.

Dear, you mentioned the joy of Eid as a national festival. I participate in the joy of Eid as a Muslim. Eid brings a lot of joy. The rich and the poor forget their differences and become united on the day of Eid. You have mentioned some joys of Eid. Especially for small children, the joy of Eid is more. Your writing is very beautiful. Good luck to you.

Wow, great presentation by you and the way you expressed your thoughts about these festivals, I am very happy to know that you said that there are Islamic festivals in your country, Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, Eid-ul-Adha. They sacrifice different animals like camels, cows, goats, sheep, etc. and Eid al-Fitr, which is Eid al-Fitr, when the moon appears at night, it is a very happy time that people climb on the roofs of their houses and look at the moon. They wait to leave when the moon rises and tomorrow is Eid. When the moon is visible, people congratulate each other and the next day they go to each other's houses and fun meals are made in every house and with their elders. We take Eid and give Eid to the little ones. It is a festival in which we take happiness and give happiness. It is based on equality. Islam has made no difference between the rich and the poor.

Your presentation is very good dear you have explained very well about Islamic festivals how important they are in our life but the way you have explained about Eid Al Fitr Eid Al Adha step by step every single aspect. Step Up has beautifully highlighted that it is indeed true that Islamic festivals are a great means of sharing happiness among us in that we fast first and then Allah blesses us with gifts like Eid al-Fitr. If it is blessed, then we make different kinds of clothes in it, first we fast, we give zakat to the people so that they can also be a part of this happiness. are greatly helped in the form of sharing meat. Islamic festivals are such that they do not need any time or happiness. They celebrate with their relatives and are happy 😊
