St. Placid School and College Patharghata hosted a Pitha festival on February 5. Students from classes 3 to 12 set up a pitha stall with the permission and support of their class teachers. The boys studying in the school mainly make pitha from home and sell their pitha at the pre-arranged stalls here. This festival is organized by the school every year to introduce children to different pitha and to inform them about our native culture. The school's professor, Brother Samuel Sabuj Bala C, S, C, inaugurated the festival at 10 am.

The Pitha festival activities continued from the inauguration of the festival till 1.30 pm. There was a lot of excitement among the students of the school regarding the Pitha festival. Everyone enjoyed the Pitha festival with their friends. My son also visited several stalls and ate Pitha as per his choice. Parents also ate Pitha at this Pitha festival by paying the fixed exchange price.I participated in this festival as a parent because my eldest son studies at St. Placid School and College.
