STEEM PLANTS CONTEST WEEK #12 | COSMOS BIPINNATUS
The Cosmos bipinnatus or commonly called the garden cosmos or a Mexican aster that usually found in America is a medium-sized flowering herbaceous plant that originally came from in the daisy family Asteraceae. And this plant was taken from our vacation in Camotes, Cebu in the Philippine islands.
This plant also are popular as an ornamental plants in temperate climate garden.
There are twenty known species of the Cosmos plant and this plant is October's birth flower and belongs to the genus known as Compositae. It can grow anywhere between 18 to 60 inches tall.
The cosmo flower symbolize of modesty, order, and peace. When given as a surprise to a romantic partner during valentine's day or in any special occasion, these flowers are commonly meant to represent the idea or belief of walking together hand in hand, or to express the happiness that love and life can bring.
To me, flowers are happiness because every flower is a soul blossoming in nature and it will makes our life colorful. And sometimes, flower is a stress reliever of any person who are in the state of being down.
And I do believe of the saying by Hans Christian Andersen that "Just living is not enough... One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."
That's all for today Steemians!
Thank you'all and Steem On.
Best Regards,
