Achievement 1| Self-Introductory Post in Steemit

Benjamin Franklin once said ’’Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.’’ This quote reminds me as my good friend @fabio2614, an avid member in steemit community persistently shares with me her fruitful experience.

Through her constant encouragement, it made me set my sights and take part in Steemit.

I am Jeanne Marie S. Silagan, a public-school teacher for almost 14 years at Mactan National High School, married and blessed with two respectful kids. Teaching the English subject is my field of expertise, with the trust given by our school head, I was appointed as the School Paper Adviser since 2018 up to the present. The experiences I gained in my line of work, has taught me to efficient and effective. I am even become more productive by coaching students in writing contest under Division Level, that served as our steps in joining the Regional Level. I was even nominated as the Most Outstanding Teacher in the School Level last December 2017. Of course, I would not achieve those accomplishment without God’s grace.

As of this current situation, we are all facing this health crisis. The usual activities and daily routines of individual has created a big impact and changes to humanity and society, where education is also a part of it. The face-to-face classes is avoidable. As a teacher, difficulties in the delivery of the lesson to students came out first on my thoughts, but like the time flies, it made me realized that I should soar high to reach it. I believe that the continuous process of learning cannot be stop to those who persevere. Being a teacher and a writer in our school, I have decided to support and contribute to students’ academic progress, with that, I am an English Module Writer for Grades 7, 9 and 10 in our Division of Lapu-Lapu City. I also prepared modified learning guide and activities in our school for English 10 that suit the learners’ capability and understanding to those who find it hard to comprehend without the teacher’s assistance.

I am also a parent whose children are studying at home and I have understood some parent’s predicament under this new normal education. Through my simplified writing activities for students, I am convinced that I am of great help to students and parents in these tough times.

I believe that my experience as a teacher, can add help to steemit community. With all my teaching involvement, I am grateful that I can share my knowledge and expertise to promote steemit at its best.
