ACHIEVEMENT 2 - @Adeboye100 Task: Basic Security on Steemit
Hello Everyone,
I am very happy that I got to read, understood and able to proceed to writing of my Achievement 2 on this platform.

According to what I read and understand, achievement 2 is very important to know in order for my account to be secure and to avoid fraudulers from intruding my account.
It is also well known that my account is one of the things that guarantees my relevance here on steemit and that is where my efforts are been recorded , so any attempt or mistake of disclosing or loosing any of the keys especially my master password or owner key is totally dangerious to my account.

In this post I will answering the questions listed by @cryptokann on basic security on steem.
Question 1.
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
Yes , i have retrieved all my keys with the help of my friend @gbenga immediately after my account was created.
Question 2.
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes, there are four different keys and I know their function and restrictions. They are;
Posting key - The posting key permit accounts to post, comment, edit, vote, resteem, and follow or mute other accounts. This key has a limited set of
permissions and it is not able to be used for monetary actions. So money
can not be loosed if someone else gets access to this key. But it must be kept safe.Active key - The active key is meant for more sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, power up/down transactions, converting Steem Dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details and avatar, and placing a market order.
Owner key - The owner key is only meant for use when necessary. It is the most powerful key because it can change any key of an account, including the owner key. Ideally, it is meant to be stored offline, and only used to recover a compromised account.
Memo key - This key is used for encrypting and decrypting memos when transferring funds.
Question 3.
How do you plan to keep your master password?
I already saved it offline and manually incase of any issue or emergency. A place where
i can only have access to it .
Question 4.
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes i do , this action can be done using the active key, and with the help of the tutorial held by @kiwiscanfly on understanding your steemit wallet i have acquire lots of knowlegde on that.
If you want to transfer token to another Steem user account, you only need to go to your wallet, click on the arrow beside Steem, it will show you the page option below.
After that click on transfer, it will take you to the next screenshot below,
This screenshot above ask sender to input the username of the receiver which is to another Steemit user account, With the option of sending Steem or SBD as you can see below.
Transferring of Steem or SBD is very simple on Steemit once you are sending from your account.
Question 5.
Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yes, with the post (understanding your wallet and power up) by @kiwiscanfly. I have gotten lot of knowledge that steem is in a liquid form and can be powered up to continue building a steem power. Below is a screenshot of the process.
To power up on Steemit, is also from your wallet. Click on wallet and click on The arrow beside Steem which will show you some options. but before that, I want you to note in the screenshot below the amount of SP I have before powering up.
Click on the arrow beside Steemit to see the options that are there.
Click on Power up, it will take you to the below screenshot.
After when you have inputed the amount you want to power up, click on Power Up, it will take you to the below screenshot.
After when you have inputed active or owner key or master password, you can now click on sign in. It will take you back to you wallet page as you can see in the below screenshot.
As you can see in the above screenshot my Steem Power as increased.

In conclusion, I want to say a very big thank to @cryptokannon and @kiwiscanfly for sharing this wonderful lesson with the newbies. It has really helped me, i now have a top up on the knowledge i have acquired earlier about steemit.

For question 4 & 5: answer with image samples showing that you transfered and powered up steem.
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
