Achievement 1: My Introductory Post on Steemit 02-12-2025

INTRODUCTION

Greetings to every member of the Steemit community. It is a pleasure to finally be here.

I am Mfoniso Job, and my username on Steemit is @awordsmith, which shows my passion for meaningful crafting and expressions through art, writing and speaking. I seek to contribute values such as uplift, inspire and educate readers on this space through creative writing and communication.

I graduated from the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, University of Uyo, Nigeria. My 24 years on earth and in Nigeria have not only given me life stories to share but also life lessons, especially during my school days. The wounds of ASUU strike and other odd realities of Nigeria have only made me emerge a proud Nigerian. Through it all, I have discovered that pain when met with the right mindset, is not meant to kill but to bring gain and make one better.

MY AREA OF STUDY AND WORK

I studied my dream course, Communication and Media Studies, at the University of Uyo. It has helped me develop strong skills in writing, public speaking, and storytelling. This background has made me a confident communicator, writer, educator and an organised worker with an eye for detail and a heart for people. For more than three years, I have worked with young people, serving as a teacher and mentor. Helping them grow in areas such as; character, intelligence and faith. Teaching and mentoring young minds has been one of my most fulfilling experiences.

HOBBIES

The world today sees living in social media spaces as a norm but this norm became a worm that was slowly eating me up. I enjoyed living on social media spaces, chatting away my life, this was no more a hobby but an addiction.

Along the line, I fell into a big pit of loneliness (moment of solid quietness and reflection) triggered by the loss of my phone. Oh! how I dreaded that moment then, yet, it became the regulation I needed.
Now, whether in voices or noises, I treasure moments of quiet reflection, because I tend to move faster and achieve more in life in such moments. Believe me, I'm not asocial or aromantic; I still love connecting with other creative minds. I have simply realised that loneliness can be a gift that lifts without creating a rift in my relationship with people.

Guess what I do with my quiet time? There are moments I reflect, think, plan my life, communicate with God, write, study, watch inspiring films and listen to refreshing worship from my favourite artists like Hillsong, Bethel, Jesus Culture, Lauren Daigle and Kaestrings, which have always uplifted me.

PASSION

I am deeply passionate about worshipping God because it gives meaning to everything I do. Over time, I have discovered that worship is the best antidote to worries.
In addition, writing and acting are more than just passions for me. I feel most alive, when my words and actions breathe life into stories and onto the stage.

More so, my thirst for people's growth has kept me on this quest. I believe everyone has a story worth sharing; they only need the right words and encouragement to tell it. This belief fuels my passion to help others discover their voice, rebuild their confidence, and grow into their best selves through communication, empathy, and personal development.

LIKES AND DISLIKE

I love orderliness, thoughtful planning, coordination and diligence in work; decency and smartness in dressing; kindness, sincerity, creativity, purposeful and respectful behaviours. Oh, the man that possesses these with a touch of my extras might just capture my heart.
I dislike rudeness, dishonesty, disrespect, pride, disorganisation, and anything that limits personal growth or learning.

WHAT SORT OF POSTS WRITTEN BY OTHERS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

I am drawn to posts born from creativity, reality with a sense of relatability, and that are aimed to inspire, motivate, cause readers to reflect, and learn.

WHAT SORT OF POSTS DO YOU THINK YOU WILL BE CREATING?

I will be creating posts on self-help, relationship building, effective writing and communication, business insights, faith and everyday lessons that life offers. My goal is to put words to life and bring meaning to the lives of those who come across my writing.
I am also open to exploring other areas of writing whenever the need arises, as growth often takes us outside our comfort zone.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH CRYPTO

I have little knowledge of cryptocurrency. Through Steemit, I hope to broaden my understanding. I feel very pleased and grateful for this opportunity to learn, create, and grow here while exploring how blockchain supports creativity and authenticity

**HOW I FOUND STEEMIT AND WHAT I HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH

My friend @ukpono (Yhukay) introduced me to Steemit. It did not end there, Steemit always found its way into our discussions, enough to make me feel jealous that the platform is stealing my friend from me. Over time, I enjoyed being entertained with stories about Steemit, until I realised I, too, had fallen in love with Steemit and how it fosters writer's growth.

I joined Steemit because I believe it is a platform to make meaningful impact on the world through words. I intend to share content that educates and uplifts readers within this ecosystem. I look forward to growing as a writer and communicator, alongside building strong connections with fellow creative minds on the platform.

CONCLUSION
I am overwhelmed with excitement to finally begin this journey with the Steemit family. I am intentional about every one of my posts on this platform because they are seeds that ought to touch lives right for growth, hence my goal. I look forward to learning and evolving here with you all.
