Hi everyone nice to reach out to you all again. Thanks to #steemit for being interested in our level of knowledge, as regards to this platform by giving us tasks to accomplish. Achievement 1 was a success, so I'll proceed to talk about my achievement 2 task which is talking about the basic security on steem.

Yes I have retrieved all my keys on steemit.

Yes, I'll begin with the very first one.

1. Master password - This was the first password generated when i registered my account. It was also used to derive the rest of my keys. This particular password should be kept very safe, as it could be used to steal your account and as well your tokens.

2. Posting key - My posting key allows me to post, comment, edit, vote, resteem and follow or mute other accounts. My posting key also helps me restrict the damage that a compromised account key would cause.

3. Active key - My active key is used for more sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, power up/down transactions, converting steem dollars, voting for witnesses, updating profile details and avatar, and placing a market order.

4. Owner key - My owner key is only meant for use when necessary. It is the most powerful key because it can change any key of an account including the owners key. It is meant to be stored offline, and used to retrieve a compromised account.

5. Memo key - My memo key is used for encrypting and decrypting memo when transferring funds. In order to encrypt a memo, it is advised to use the pound/# sign before it.

I saved it in my email, which to me is one of the safest place it should be. If I loose my phone, or my phone crashes, I wouldn't bother because files in my mail can be retrieved any day any time. N:B though most people sign into their accounts using the posting key, it is advisable to still keep your master password safe.

Yes. Log into your account using your username and your active key, go to your wallet, click on the drop down arrow on steem and choose transfer. Input the amount and the person you are transferring the token to and send.

Yes. On your wallet, click on steem, select power up and then input the amount and click on power up.
