Hello @cryptokannon, I previously tried to contact steemitblog, but I didn't receive any answer there. So, I discovered the Newcomers' community, and I am trying here with my questions.

I explain my self: I launched a photography contest many months ago on Steemit, and continued it up to now. When the hard fork with Hive blockchain happened, I followed the major part of the participants, not having a personal policy about the happening. But, now, I am finding problems with some members that proclaimed a zero tolerance towards considering a translation post in a native language community as a post on which I can obtain a reward. This policy is not mine because a person spend time, knowledge and resources to do it: so, I decided to don't follow it. So, I ask you: what are the policy here on Steemit? Is there the same, or is it allow posting in english one time and in my native language in a native language community another time? I discovered that this way is better to obtain engagement from a native language community.
I excuse me and, please, I ask you if you can give me an answer, or you can indicate me another way to obtain it.

Thank you very much for your time.

Hi @davidesimoncini welcome back 😊

So, I ask you: what are the policy here on Steemit? Is there the same, or is it allow posting in english one time and in my native language in a native language community another time? I discovered that this way is better to obtain engagement from a native language community.

For me, it is good to practice putting both English and your Native language in one post, and everyone may interact with you on that one particular post.
If you want to put the same post in 2 different languages, you may decline/disable the reward payout on either one of the posts. This is so no one will feel that you are duplicating your post to "farm" the reward on the same post that you split into 2 different languages. Hope this help 😊

Thank you for your answer. Yes is a help and I know this type of position. The reasons why I try to explain this isn't an abuse is that I create 2 different contents, that reaches two different users target groups, and the "farm" happens only when the same users give me a relevant upvote. Furthermore, the transactions I generate are two half-weight transactions, considering the first one with all the translations.
I experienced that, in this way, I can obtain a better engagement and contributions from the chosen community, being the post in the native language the community talks. In this way, I can obtain even a contribution for the time and resources I spent translating the native post. I don't understand where is the "farm" if the relevant upvotes (and so the subsequent rewards) coming from two different groups, because I am reaching two different targets. I hope to clearly explain myself, I leave another thank you if you will have time to answer my question.

Hi I know if we are not native English speakers, translating our Native language to English takes some effort too. Have you heard of self-plagiarism? For me, I don't have any problem with this, but as Steemit is community-based on Proof of Stake, if someone with a higher SP doesn't like what you're doing by downvoting your post, no matter how we think it is right for us to do it, then we can't do anything about it.
You may experiment with this by publishing your post as you want, but if someone with a big SP downvote it, it is probably good to stop it and do as I have suggested.
Good day to you 😊

Hello again, Cryptokannon, thank you for your answer. I didn't hear about self-plagiarism, and I tried to search on the web. But the problem of that practice is linked to particular cases that can occur in specific fields (for example, Wikipedia tells about the academic field).

I understand what you mean and will consider what to do. On the other platform, I wrote an article also providing an example of why it is wrong to use a downvote in order to impose a personal policy, when the absence of a vote determines a value equal to 0 attributed to my post. But if these are the rules that the developers who built the platform allow, I can't do anything. When there is a system that allows you to obtain value from the publication of a post, using a tool such as a downvote based on a personal policy is something I consider deeply wrong.

Now, aside from your opinion, the most important thing for me is to understand if the Steemit team approves the policy of the zero-tolerance to the case mentioned by me, and if they have bots or larger curator accounts that don't accept publication in the way I described, and therefore I would start receiving downvotes on my posts as soon as I start posting them in that way. Do you have some information about this?

Then, I greet you and wish you a good day too. :)

the most important thing for me is to understand if the Steemit team approves the policy of the zero-tolerance to the case mentioned by me, and if they have bots or larger curator accounts that don't accept publication in the way I described, and therefore I would start receiving downvotes on my posts as soon as I start posting them in that way.

There were a few users that received downvotes from someone in the past, and I brought that to the steemit team attention, and they told me;
steem blockchain is based on proof of stake...
you may ask steemit team if they will want to support your kind of publication.
They usually will not downvote users' posts, only not supporting them if they do not agree with the post.
If there's serious plagiarism and farming with strong evidence, their downvote is expected.

Thank you very much for your kindness. Do you know about any ways to contact the Steemit team?
