INTRODUCTION

I am super excited to be here again to carryout the achievement task number 4. It galddens me to know that my previous tasks have been verified prompting me to get into this achievement task 4.

Prior to this task, Content Etiquette was what was written about focusing on Plagiarism.
Today I'll be writing on Markdown Application.
Thanks taking out time out of your busy schedule to go through this.

WHAT ARE MARKDOWNS?

Markdowns are commands applied to post, articles, blogs or any other form of writing so as to give it a unique style, makes your writing clean, appealing to the eyes of the readers making it presentable and easy to read.

Not applying markdowns to your writings will make your writings unorganised, rough, unaligned and ultimately making your writing look all over the place.

Now let's get into some of the Steemit Markdowns that can be applied to your writings.
Let list them before getting to know how they can be applied.

  • Left and right alignment
  • Text Justification
  • Italics Texts
  • Centralization
  • Bold Texts
  • Subscript and Superscript
  • Blockquote

LEFT AND RIGHT ALIGNMENT

Left and right alignment are applied to texts to make them run side by side making it parallel on both ends.

Application of the left and right alignment can be done by writing <divclass="pull-right"> (spacing between div and class) and adding < /div below the text (leaving no space between < and /)
Same procedure goes for the left alignment, only this time instead of "pull-right" you replace it with "pull-left"
Below is an example on this text "Markdowns are commands applied to posts, articles, blogs and any other writing to give it a unique style and making your writing look presentable, clean and readable to your audience"

TEXT JUSTIFICATION

Text justification is used to align texts in a block format.
Applying this markdown, the texts are aligned equally from the left to right indents.
Below is an example of applying this markdown on "The only way to defeat self doubt is doing the things you're afraid to do, going out there and facing your fear head on, for fear is false evidence appearing real"

You achieve the above markdown by writing <divclass="text-justify"> (spacing between div and class) before your text and < /div> (not spacing between < and /)

ITALICS

Italic markdown can be applied to texts in order for it to appear in italics.
This is done by adding asterisks before and after the texts with no space in between, for example "Steemit"
Steemit

CENTRALIZATION

Centralization is the act of aligning texts at the center.
This is done by writing < /center> before and after the texts (leaving no space between < and / in < /center >)
Below is an example of centralization on "Markdown Application"

Markdown Application

BOLD TEXTS

Bold texts almost self explanatory, it's simply making texts bold in your writing.
This can be achieved by double asterisks before the text and after the text for example "Winning Mentality"
Winning Mentality

SUBSCRIPT AND SUPERSCRIPT

Subscript can be done by adding < sub> (leaving no space between < and sub) and < /sub> after the text (leaving no space between < and /)
An example on 2 in H20
H20

Same goes for Superscript only this time we substitute "sub" for "sup"
An example on 10 in P10 and A10
P10 A10

BLOCKQUOTE

Blockquote is used for making references from other sources and can be achieved by adding before your texts> leaving a space before the text. An example of blockquote on "You don't get out of life what you want, you get out of life what you deserve"

You don't get out of life what you want, you get out of life what you deserve

CONCLUSION

Writing on the Steemit ecosystem also in other platforms, making your work look neat, organised and presentable is pivotal, so it it becomes easier for your audience to get your message.

Thanks for going through my achievement task number 4.
