I am here even though my family is not tech savvy and thinks Steemit is a pyramid scheme or some sort of MLM

Hi Steemians / Steemizens

I am Alex Csanyi, a 32 year old software developer born in Hungary and currently based in the UK. Crypto, programming, sports and my family are the most important things in my life - obviously not in that order...

Despite my family's strong opinions on crypto in general I've been playing around for some time now with it.

I've been on Steemit before, @startupsuccess was my first account where I wrote about our experience setting up and running a small business in Croatia but I think I accumulated a total of 2 comments and maybe 3 views - hurray - but I thought just like some sort of garbage phoenix, I will rise from the dumps as they say and I started writing about football. That was a little more successful; although having low expectations was my secret to feeling the success - you just have to set them low enough.

In terms of crypto - I believe in projects where the underlying value solves significant problems - and just like Elon said: “You get paid in direct proportion to the difficulty of problems you solve”. So I have been consistently investing for the long run in some blockchain projects like Fetch.ai $FET or Cardano $ADA - but I also like to just hold about 10-15% of my crypto investments in Bitcoin.

I mentioned earlier I am a programmer but it wasn't always that way - I am a self taught developer who loves it passionately and spends most of his time tinkering with different projects and buying Udemy courses - obviously not actually using them just collecting them like Pokemon cards - that feeling... if you know you know.
PHP (Zend, Laravel), React (Next.js), JS and the good old HTML and CSS and a little knowledge of databases are my bread winners.

But don't worry despite our opposing views on crypto I still carve out some time for my wife and family as well - most of the time.

I am also super hyped on environmental issues - in particular tackling them - and strongly dislike anti-nature behaviour. Like littering.

Here on @Steemit though - I am looking to share and learn about the crypto world - gain a deeper understanding and pick up new skills for the web 3.0 era. So if you are part of a community here that is interested in #cypto, #blockchain or #dev please let me know in the comments and any suggestions are welcome. If you want to learn more with me and follow along as I embark on this deep dive - just keep on reading my posts and let me know your opinion. Constructive criticism is always welcome - but please don't be rude. I'll share my learnings and experiences and hopefully these will help you out and you won't go down in history like Laszlo Hanyecz who sent 10,000 BTC for pizzas worth something like 25 USD.

Anyway thanks for reading and if you want to know more or want to get on board please feel free to comment and follow me here on this great platform.
