Achievement 2 @georgia10 Task : Basic Security on Steem

Hello there!!!

Maybe the fun part is to create content and share it, but the most important thing is to learn how Steemit works and have the knowledge on basic security.

How can i keep my Steem account secure?

The first thing that i did when i created this account was to be sure that i've safed correct all of the keys in three different devices.

Posting Key

It gives me the access of my account to log in, posting, voting, resteem, edit, follow or mute other people.

Active Key

It gives me access to my wallet. I can transfer Steem to another account, Power Up/Down, convert Steem Dollars, vote for witnesses.

Memo Key

You can encrypt or decrypt memos when you tranferring funds (sending/receiving).

Master Password & Owner Key

For their safety you have to keep them on a non online device because they can be very usefull if you lost the other keys or someone hacked your account and then you need to recovery it and change the keys.
The Master Password can derive all of the keys of your account including the owner key.
The Owner Key can recover your account if someone hacked it.

How do i plan to keep your master password?

I already saved it on my external ssd.

Do i know how to transfer my steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, it's pretty easy actually by going on the wallet first, you press on the arrow near of your STEEM and then you choose 'tranfer'. At that point you have to be carefull of writing thre correct user name, the amount and the memo if is required. As final step you'll need the Active Key to complete the transaction with success.

Do i know how to power up my STEEM?

Yes, i actually done it of Powering Up 100SP. Again on wallet, click on the arrow near of your STEEM, press POWER UP and write an amount or click on the BALANCE underneath to auto filled with all of your available STEEM.
