Greetings friends, i will use this avenue to present my achievement 3 which deals on content etiquette, please read through,
What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the act of using someone's else work without his/her own consent or approval. This behaviour in people is mostly common in today's world, as people view it as the most easiest way to pass information or submit a report, but steemit makes it in such a way that you either edit your work or you are muted for such act. Plagiarism is fraud, why? because you are not original but live off people's work.
Types of plagiarism
- Self-plagiarism : This is a type plagiarism involved in the duplication of post, meaning copying your own work and pasting it as another post, hence this type of plagiarism is not recommended or allowed in steemit.
Patchwork plagiarism: This type of plagiarism involves, copying works from different sources/places and pasting them to create your own post, it is also called mosaic plagiarism
Paraphrasing plagiarism: This involves the writer copying a persons work, and trying to change, the words into his/her own, though not completely.
Accidental plagiarism: This involves the writer copying a persons work and forgetting to quote the source of the work, which is normally done during citations in reference to the source material.
Verbatim plagiarism: It involves the writer copying from a source work/persons work directly and totally pasting it without even an attempt to edit it, it is purely a complete copy and paste type of plagiarism.
Ways to avoid plagiarism!
Be original and try to write in your own words. Always cite words quoted with their sources, giving credit to an original author and make sure to always check for plagiarism in write up before posting.
Remember, plagiarism is one of the rising modern crime committed knowingly or unknowingly by people,hence ensure to keep off from such situation. Being original help you express yourself better.

“You must use one of the citation examples described in the explanation of achievement 3, For this you must make a post of no less than 200 words of your authorship about what plagiarism is and additionally include the aforementioned examples (they will not be counted within 200 words)”.
“All the content used that is not 100% of your authorship must be cited according to what is described in the protocol of achievement 3”.
All images used within steemit must be your own or cited from copyright-free sources, these images are not allowed in this way
