Achievement-1: Introducing Myself On Steemit

My name is Jidonu Mauyon Oluwaferanmi. My friends nicknamed me Mau Young, which is much like an English version of my native name. I am a Nigerian with roots in the Republic of Benin. Lagos is my home: I was born, raised and currently reside here in Èkó, as we popularly call Lagos it in the streets.

I am a dark-skinned guy with great sense of humour. A super romantic nomad, I love to explore people, especially the opposite gender (if you know what I mean) - as well as places and things that are eye-catching.

First, I'm a very 'sick' writer: articles, poems, reports, sales copies, blog posts, rap lyrics, essays, stories etc - I just can't spend a day without grabbing my pen!

Second, I love anything that's got to do with tech. I'm a web designer who loves to build aesthetic and functional websites, especially on WordPress and I could go all day building web pages and debugging codes.

Also, rapping is something no one can take away from me. When I'm not writing or building web pages, I'm definitely in a corner of my room, seated with my headphones on and spitting hard bars off the top of the dome.

I bagged my Primary School Certificate at L.A Primary School, Badagry - from where I won a scholarship to study at Ascension College, Imeke, Badagry.

I currently hold Bachelor of Arts in English Language (Edu) as well as certificates in journalism, web designing, computer education and hospitality management.

As a Web Designer and internet nerd, I'm always discovering new things. I got to know about Steemit some time ago. I tried to register at the time but didn't quite understand how it works. Honestly, I didn't really try to explore it back then because I had too many things on my table. It slipped...

However, I saw @megareigns posting about Steemit on his Facebook page regularly and I reached out for guidance. He put me through the steps and here I am today. The rest is history.

My time on this platform will be productive. I'll be sharing my daily activities, insights and my journey into web designing and tech. I'll also be writing about my exploits in journalism and news and events reporting, as well as general life lessons.

I vow to abide by the rules and regulations of Steemit and comply with all community policies. I'll also keep my passwords offline.
