ACHIEVEMENT 2/BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT BY @nakvirus

Good day Steemit Community. Hope you are all doing great in your endeavors and wellbeing. I am greatful to take you through my second achievement as required. First achievement was on introducing myself and saying a lot about me and the second achievement is about writing on the basic securities on steemit especially for newcomers.
OBJECTIVES
This first objective leads towards enlightening newcomers on how their passwords work and how to give a difference amongst the various keys and their uses. Thus the posting key, private owner key, memo key and active key.
It is also a means of bringing to light the use of the steem wallet as essential in various dimensions.

Below is an essay taking you through the keys and their uses;
Private Posting key: This is the log in key that one uses when one has to perform social activities such as blogging, posting, commenting and voting. This is the key often used by steemit users.
Private Memo key: This to me can be called the Encryptment key. When one logs in with this key, messages sent are encrypted. Henceforth not easy to decipher and cannot be hacked into easily. This key helps to send and receive memos on the platform.
Private Active key: This key is mainly used for wallet related and money related transactions which may include token transfers, trading and power ups.
Private Owner key: This key helps the owner of the account to reset all other keys. When one’s account is hacked or when you feel like your account has been used by another person this key helps to recover the account within 30days.
Personally I like the idea of the keys given by steemit platform because they cannot be easily memorized and the only solution I think is the best to keep them safe is simply copying and pasting them in a file. Your keys are saved for you to download in a pdf file when you are creating the account. Therefore it is advisable for one to keep it in a highly secured sector so that it can prevent intruders from gaining access to your account. I recommend you try to save your file on a cloud server for example Google drive or iCloud.
Steemit Wallet
The steemit wallet is where most of the monetary related actions are done. This implies that one has to log in with the private active key in order to perform any action in the steem wallet. Steemit Wallet actions include transfers, trading and markets, steem power up. These actions form the basics of all transactions made on the steemit platform and it is therefore the best idea for all new members on steemit to take notice of it. The Steem wallet is made up of Steem, Steem power and Steem Black Dollar(SBD).
Steem is the form of cryptocurrency that is used for transactions and is also used to power up a steem power in the Steemit platform.
Steem Power is the type of steem that enables you to comment and perform many transactions on the steemit blockchain, this steem is locked up and be changed into liquid steem after 4 weeks.
Steem Black Dollar(SBD) is the steem that may be transferred to a different account or traded for a steem on the digital market.

Below listed are the steps to Power Up your Steemit Account.
Log into your account with the private active key.
Go to profile.
Select wallet.

Tap on Steem (The arrow pointing downwards).

Select Power up.

Select the amount you want to power up by.

Tap on Power Up for confirmation.

Steps on how to transfer a Token to a different account
Log into your account with the private active key.
Go to Profile.
Tap on Wallet.

Select Transfer from the menu.

Select steem and enter the amount.
Type in the Username of the Recipient.

Click on Next to confirm your transfer.
