My Introduction To Steemit - Achievement 1

What’s up Steemit, I am Nana Eraba, and I'm a Ghanaian. I am in Accra now and we're already on Easter week holiday, but school is not easy at all. The heat is too much and it makes me tired even before class starts. It's hard to walk into school after walking across the blazing heat of the sun. By the time I reach my desk I'm all sweaty and just can't concentrate on all of my assignments.

Because I can hardly keep up with the amount of homework I have, I'm not able to finish all the textbooks. When I am in my own room doing schoolwork until 1 or 2am, I have to keep the noise down so I don't wake my roommate up and I can’t sleep because I have too much to do so I just use my phone for light and finish whatever I have left.

I buy food from a roadside lady who has made herself my second mother, always tell me to learn hard and make her proud. I meet her every morning for breakfast because I don’t have enough time to prepare before I leave to go to school. There are some times when she gives me a large portion of gari without me paying for it because she always remembers me.

If I don’t arrive at the roadside lady’s stand early enough I will have to wait in line for too long and will not have time to have breakfast and attend class. I am constantly thinking about money and most of my friends are. I wouldn't say my home is not rich, we're more like below middle class but it's better than a lot of people. But there's always the need for financial progress, because I think about how much school will cost, how to manage the food they gave me to school, how to get to school and how to pay for everything else.

But that's just how life is. Is great to have a place where I can share all my life experiences because I mostly just have a dairy I write them in. You might see that as old fashioned but I learned that from old high school movies and I love doing it. Funny enough, this is the second time I'm saying I have a personal diary, the only person that knows is my bestie Benedicta.

I did have a dream of starting a blogging website, maybe Steemit is more valuable than that dream.
