Plagiarism

Plagiarism is simply the act of making someone else's work, research and ideas your own with little or no reference to the original author.
Research such as theses, projects, articles, documents, manuscripts, and papers can be plagiarized. This practice is illegal and as such can result in various damages.
Meanwhile, the goal of plagiarism is to give people a false model that they are the creators of the work.

Types of plagiarism

Mosaic plagiarism
Copy and paste
Self plagiarism
GLOBAL PLAGIARISM
VERBATIM PLAGIARISM

Mosaic Plagiarism

It involves the combined copying by different authors of an individual to form the work of that individual. This is an example if a user copies word definitions from different authors or owners and mixes them up claiming to be the original owner without referencing or honoring the original author.

Copy and paste

This is the process of copying someone else's entire work and then reproducing or republishing it because you are the original author or owner.

self-plagiarism

When someone copies your old work and submits it as new work, it is called self-plagiarism.

GLOBAL PLAGIARISM

This happens when you directly insert the full text of someone else's work as your own.

VERBATIM PLAGIARISM

This involves copying parts of sentences and ideas without citations.

CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM

Plagiarism is very harmful because it tends to reduce the skill and professionalism of a writer. Your work is rated on a high professionalism scale when the plagiarism content is zero percent. Plagiarism is also contradictory as it damages the reputation and integrity of the authors involved.
Therefore, it is recommended that as a potential professional writer, you should never engage in plagiarism.

How to avoid plagiarism

To avoid plagiarism, reference must be made to the original author, owner, or producer of the work or writing that has been copied. Once the cites source, the user free from plagiarism.

Users can also use citations to indicate
    citations received from other places.

It is recommended that someone research your work before publishing it with a plagiarism checker app to prevent plagiarism.

CONCLUSION

By doing this task so far, I have been able to gain a very good understanding of plagiarism and I will make sure to comply with the rules and never fall for plagiarism. A million thanks to @ashkhan for this massive support.
