Steemscan.com is a very important tool to track all the transaction of the steem platform. And if we specifically want to get details about our own transactions only, we can do so by entering our user id in the search bar.

How to check Steem Price and Volume ?

At the moment of writing this post, Steem Price is at $ 0.38 , and volume is $ 9776.24. And if we want to analyse the price movement we can even check it on daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. The same is true for volume graph.

How to check Latest Transactions and Latest Blocks ?

Every action on the platform is recorded as transactions. We can track these under "Latest Transaction" section.

By clicking on "All", we can even select specific type of transaction that we are looking for.

Each transction id has folowing details:

• Sender
• Receiver/Permlink/Id
• Amount/%/Payload
• Timestamp
• Transaction No.
• Block Id
• Signature

Also, all the transaction are clubbed under different block, each have their specific number and an ID. We can even get the details of block specific transactions from "Latest Blocks" section.

How to check Witnesses and to Vote for a Witness ?

To check the witnesses, click on the menu, select witnesses.

Here we can see all the active witnesses with their details. We can even vote for the witness of our choice by simply clicking on "vote".

What is a "DApp"?

DApp is a way to access the blockchain in a desired manner. It can be designed as per the requirement. Here we can see different types of DApps against the creator's name.

It has been a learning excercise which equipped me with a lot new insights about the steem platform in general.
