Achievement 6 by @rockana: Understanding Curation and Community

Hello there it's your girl again here to present my achievement 6 all thanks to @wilmer1988 for reviewing and approving my achievement 5 task 4.

Now on to my next achievement...

1.Do you understand how voting and curation work on Steemit?
2.What happens if you vote a post before 5 minutes mark after posting?
3.Who will you vote for Steem witness and why?
4.Which community will you join in steemit and why?

Voting and curation are terms I'll define as follows;

VOTING
As we all know, steemit is a social media platform where, users post blogs and accustomed other users read the blog and express their appreciate or reproval of the post. That's what I define as voting.
In steemit, we got two type of votes which are Upvotes and Down votes the upvotes express approval of a post while downvotes express reproval of a post. Upvotes increase your steem rewards while down votes reduce your steem rewards.

CURATION
Curation is the process by which a user manages the votes for other posts. How this is done is just by viewing a post, reading it and either Upvote or downvote it and move to the next post.
In the steemit community there are regular curators like the normal user then we have the steemcurators and they span from 1 to 8 and they curate posts of different tags and quality.

When a post is made, the rewards for that post is divided into a ratio of 50:50 which means 50% of the rewards goes to the voters based on their SP meaning the more SP you have, the more voting rewards you get and 50% for the author.
The reward pool created depends on the time the votes means as a post is created within the first minute of when a user votes on the post, there's a less than 50% reward, but if the curators vote after the 5 minute time, they receive a steady increase of the reward from the reward pool while the pool experiences a decrease

The steem witness program has helped further the growth and sustainability of the steemit community with the new projects they bring to push the community forward, my choice of steem witnesses is based on the influence and impact they have on the steemit community, that's why I'd chose the following witnesses;

I've voted for @pennsif as witness as he has contributed much to the community, I'll still be voting for witnesses in the future to also hep with the growth of the community.

Communities are like digital homes especially in the steemit ecosystem and my communities are those places I can feel safe at, and this brings me to them.

As a Cameroonian, it's only right that I participate in my national group on that note I joined the steemcameroon community, then to grow my knowledge on crypto, I joined the steemitcryptoacademy, I love sport updates and would like writing about them too so I joined the steemsports community,the newcomers community taught me how to function in steemit, I love participating in contests so I join other communities that offer the best and most profitable contests.
