Hopefully, you will be good and happy. After the success of the 2nd Achievement, I am moving towards Achievement 3. This is all about Content Etiquette(Plagiarism). So, let's start our discussion.

What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism word is also used as stealing or copying. In the literature, the word plagiarism is used where the copying of the content and thoughts of someone takes place.

In simple words, Plagiarism means copying someone's work and publish this work as our own for getting fame, without giving any credit or benefit to the real author or owner of the ideas.

The piece of content which is taken from other sources is called Plagiarised content. This content may be in the form of pictures, lines, videos, articles, or even a few lines.

Plagiarism As A Bad Social Act:

As we all know that Steemit is a Blockchain-based Social Media platform. So, like all the other platforms there are also some rules and regulations in this platform. So, plagiarism is greatly prohibited on the Steemit platform. If the plagiarized content is found on Steemit then there will be no reward to this content.

Plagiarism is actually a bad social act and is immoral to an extent as the hard work of someone unknown is utilized for earning money and fame. In this way, the original author of the content lost his efforts. So, it is our duty to stop plagiarism at Steemit to make it one of the best platforms.

For controlling plagiarism and for punishing plagiarists, @endingplagiarism is working hard along with his complete team to eradicate plagiarism from Steemit.

Disadvantages of Plagiarism:

There are so many disadvantages of plagiarism on the Steemit platform. Some of them are as follows.

The plagiarized content cannot live long on the Steemit platform because they are under the eye of the plagiarism detecting team.
Plagiarized content is not rewarded at all at the Steemit platform. In this way, it is discouraged.
I think it is a very bad act and even cruelty to some extinct as the real organizer of the content is not rewarded.

Prevention of Plagiarism:

There are some things that could be adopted to prevent plagiarism. Some of them are as follows.

Firstly, all of us tried to make our post completely unique and original.
Do not use any image, video, or sentence from wandering about on the internet.
Another thing in this regard is that we must have to completely cite the content which is copied from somewhere(the internet).
Provide the complete source of the material which is taken from other sources.

Citation:

Citation means to provide the complete address of the copied material. The purpose of citing content is that the real owner of the content could get benefits as a reward for his/her hard work.

Example:

Suppose, I have copied the following sentence. Then I will present it as.

"Researchers have long been aware of the potential for apple consumption to support balanced populations of bacteria in our lower digestive tract."
