in Newcomers' Community3 years ago

Greetings to you all steemians! i am @shedrackmaiyayi,hope you are all doing well. Here is my achievement 4 post titled "Applying Markdown" I am super excited to proceed with this achievement.

First of all I want to talk about the meaning of markdown

MARKDOWN:

Markdown can be seen as a way of styling text on the web. You can control the display of the document, formating words as
Italic or bold, making a table, adding images, and so also creating lists are some of the things we can do with Markdown.Fundamentally markdown is utilized for arranging of words. It is an approach to style text on web.
Now we look at how to apply markdown on web.

To get bold text:
If you want to write in bold, you use **(double star) at the beginning of your word or sentence and also end it with **(double star)
For example:
I love steemit
This is the code ** I love steemit **
The is the outcome I love steemit

To create TABLES:
You can as well create tables by arranging
a list of words and then dividing them
with hyphens - (for the first row),
and then separating each column
with a pipe |

shedrack(1st header)Maiyayi (2nd header)
Shedrack cell 1Maiyayi cell 2
Shedrack column 1Maiyayi column 2

Additional example

Steemsteemit
Steem 1steemit 1
Steem cell 1steemit cell 1

This is just how you can create you tables

FOR HEADING:
When you want compose or create a post headings and sub_headings,which happens to be the significant part of it. There are two different ways of making a headline in markdown, let me differentiate the two types.
Firstly:the first type u can use "#" right before your first wording, then for the following heading which will appear a little less bold than the 1st heading, you will use "##", so also for the next sub_heading you will use "###" it will less bolder than the previous heading
For example:

1st Heading 01

2nd Heading 02

3rd heading 03

The code for the above headings are the following, but without the bracket

( # 1st Heading 01 )

( ## 2nd Heading 02 )

( ### 3rd Heading 03 )

The outcome will be

1st heading 01

2nd heading 02

3rd heading 03

Then the second way or type of making the headline is by using === (equal signs) under the words and also using --- under the words to get a lower bold heading
For example:

1stHeading 01

2ndHeading 02

The code for this headline is === (under the words) followed by --- under the next sub_heading

Heading 01

Heading 02

CONCLUSION
Thank you for going through this,I really hope what I have explained will be able to help out when there's need for you to apply markdowns.

Nice user experience but What was expected from you was to make a simple post and apply the markdown tools on it rather than repeat the lessons.
