Hello great members of Steem Cameroon! Hope you are all doing fine. Having been verified on achievement task 1 #introduceyourself, I am here to move on with my achievement task 2, on basic security on Steemit. Security implies to be safe from danger.
Steemit uses a key system for users’ access to its database because it is safer than using passwords. They say the more frequently passwords are use the easier it is for the password to get compromised. As Achievement task 2, I am required to use and master the functioning of these keys. They are divided in two sets the public and the private; posting, memo, active and owner keys and then there is the master password and the tronx public and private keys.

The Private Posting Key
The Private Posting Key is used to log in to the steem-powered social networks like Steemit, Busy and eSteem. It is used for social networking are used to perform social actions like posting, commenting and voting, its permissions are limited to the listed functions as it cannot be used for monetary actions like transfer of Steem and tronx and the like meaning even if u lose the key u do not have to fear as far as monetary action are concerned. It is used to publish a post, comment on a post, voting, editing a post or comment we have previously made, up voting, down voting and in following or muting of accounts.

The Private Memo Key
The Private Memo Key is used to decrypt encrypted messages so we can read them.

The Private Active Key
The Private Active Key is used for monetary actions like wallet transfer of tokens and powering of Steem either up or down. We also use the Private Active Key to convert SBD to Steems, to vote for a witness, place an order on an exchange, in changing our profile and cover pictures, to publish a witness price feed and to create a new user. This Private Active key works for social and wallet actions.
The most sensitive of the keys is the Private Active key which is used for monetary and wallet related transfers and for powering steem up and down. How to use it in transferring tokens.

The Private Owner Key
The Private Owner Key is used to recover and reset the other keys, that is, the private posting, memo, and active keys. This key is the most important key to keep offline at all times because if our account gets compromised, we can use this key to recover it within 30days on the steem wallet site.

The Master Password
The Master Password which is also known as the seed password which is used to generate one’s Steem keys document which is the first thing we do when we get registered on steemit. Wherein we are asked to download the document as PDF and save it both online and offline which I did, by printing out two copies and saving the document in my phone in documents file and in my file manager

The Public Keys
Then the public keys which are used to encrypt and verify messages, these keys are not required for login

The Tron Keys
We then have the Tron Keys; the Tron Public and Private Keys. The Tron Public Key is used for transfers and the Tron Private Key is to transfer Tron tokens, for freezing of tokens and for voting.

How to power up
To power up you click the inverted triangle next to steem dollars

A list of drop down commands will appear from the list click market

The market interface will the appear in the market you will then buy steem using the steem dollars you have buy imputing your price against SBD

Then you click buy steem and a screen message will appear to show you your order is in process
Then you can return to your wallet screen again and there you will notice that your Steem Dollars have reduced by the amount with which you bought steem, in my case it went down to zero because i used all i had.

And then you must have powered up. This powering up process increases the power of our upvotes and we can even upvote our own posts with its use.
