"Today, I'll be talking about role conflict. Role conflict is a condition where someone experiences hardship or stress from different responsibilities they play in life. It occurs when one struggles to carry out another role. This sometimes happens for a long or short period of time, or situationally.

Types of role conflict include:

• Interpersonal: This is when one battles between targets or norms, and when tension flares up.
• Intrapersonal: This happens when an individual experiences emotions, feelings, and struggles.
• Intergroup conflict: This is a conflict between two groups of people, example: communities, teams, organizations, etc.
• Intragroup conflict: This is when two or more groups argue for something; sometimes they struggle for power.
• Interrole conflict: This happens when the responsibility or obligation of a role clashes with those of another role.
• Intrarole conflict: This happens when there are demands between different domains, example: work and family.

These conflicts are caused as a result of excessive workload, poor communication, value mismatch, new pressure, structural limitation, and lots more.

We also have consequences of these conflicts, which include lack of understanding, low productivity, reduced performance, and lots more."
