I am also a hardware engineer, but now working in the Network Operation Center for the last 8 years.

I will suggest you complete the Microsoft certification as soon as possible that actually, I have missed(big mistake), this will help to grow your career. don't think to be a hardware engineer for more years, take the next step now for System Administrator.
