Manchmal gibt es Käufe, die man nicht mit dem Taschenrechner erklären kann. Genau so ein Moment war es für mich bei der Spendenaktion von Matthias Schwaighofer. Auf den ersten Blick könnte man sagen, dass 300 Euro für ein AMS Light für den A1 oder A1 Mini viel Geld sind. Und ja, wenn man nur den normalen Produktpreis betrachtet, bekommt man so etwas regulär günstiger. Aber in diesem Fall ging es um viel mehr als nur um ein Zubehörteil für einen 3D-Drucker.

Das Stück, das im Stream versteigert wurde, war eben nicht irgendein Artikel von der Stange. Es hatte dieses besondere Gulf Design, dazu die Unterschrift von Matthias, und genau dadurch wurde daraus etwas Einzigartiges. Solche Dinge haben für mich einen ganz anderen Wert als ein normales Produkt aus dem Shop. Es ist nicht nur die Funktion, die zählt, sondern auch die Geschichte dahinter. Und genau diese Geschichte war in diesem Fall etwas ganz Besonderes.

Für mich war deshalb sehr schnell klar, dass ich diese 300 Euro nicht einfach nur als Kaufpreis sehen kann. Natürlich habe ich ein tolles Einzelstück bekommen, aber gleichzeitig war es eben auch eine Spende. Und genau das macht in meinen Augen den großen Unterschied. Ich habe nicht nur etwas ersteigert, das es in dieser Form nur sehr selten gibt, sondern ich habe gleichzeitig eine gute Sache unterstützt. Wenn man es so betrachtet, fühlt sich der Preis plötzlich ganz anders an.

Besonders beeindruckend finde ich, was durch diese Aktion schon jetzt erreicht wurde. Es sind bereits über 26.000 Euro zusammengekommen, und die Aktion läuft noch bis zum Ende der Woche weiter. Allein diese Zahl zeigt, wie viel möglich ist, wenn eine Community gemeinsam an einem Strang zieht. Aber manchmal ist nicht der günstigste Preis entscheidend, sondern das Gefühl, mit seinem Geld etwas Sinnvolles zu tun. In diesem Fall war es für mich genau das. Ich habe ein seltenes Stück bekommen, das mich an diesen Stream erinnern wird, und gleichzeitig weiß ich, dass das Geld dort angekommen ist, wo es gebraucht wird. Diese Kombination ist für mich mehr wert als jeder Preisvergleich.

I did not only win an item that exists in this form only very rarely, I also supported a good cause at the same time. When you look at it that way, the price suddenly feels very different.

What impresses me most is what has already been achieved through this campaign. More than 26,000 euros have already been raised, and the campaign is still running until the end of the week. That number alone shows how much is possible when a community pulls together. Moments like these make it clear to me that livestreams and creative projects can be far more than simple entertainment. They can bring people together and they can make real help possible.

What also makes this exciting is that it is not over yet. Matthias has already announced a surprise for Sunday that will also be auctioned. That alone creates curiosity and shows that there may still be a very special moment waiting for us. I think announcements like that are exactly what keeps people tuned in and emotionally involved, because you can feel that something may still happen that could move many people once again.

I personally bought something in this campaign even though I knew very well that the plain item could be bought cheaper elsewhere. But sometimes the cheapest price is not what matters most. Sometimes what matters is the feeling that your money is doing something meaningful. In this case, that is exactly what it was for me. I received a rare piece that will remind me of this stream, and at the same time I know that the money ended up where it is needed. That combination means more to me than any price comparison ever could.
