Assalamu Alaikum. how are you all. I hope everyone is safe by the grace of God. I am also fine Alhamdulillah.I am participating SLC30-W1 | “Potato Magic Challenge” : Potato Snack / Potato chop.Thank you @bdwomen for this fast food challenge.

Gram flour1 cup
Rice flour1/4 cup
Baking powder1 tsp
Onion1 pc
Ginger paste1 tsp
Garlic paste1 tsp
Red chili powder1 tbs
Turmeric powder1 tsp
Cumin powder1 tsp
Cumin powder1 tsp
Fried red chili4 pc
Mustard oil2 tbs
Coriander leavesas needed
Saltto taste
Oilas need

Making process

To make potato chops, I will wash the potatoes thoroughly with water. Then I will cut the potatoes into small pieces. This will help the potatoes cook quickly. I will put the potatoes in the oven with enough water to cook them. When the potatoes are cooked, I will drain the water. If there is water on the potatoes, the potato chops may burst while frying in oil.

I will put a pot on the stove and heat some oil. When the oil is hot, I will pour the marinated chicken into the oil. I will fry the chicken in the oil until it changes its color slightly. When the chicken is fried, I will add tomatoes in it and stir well. When the chicken is cooked and oils comes out. My chicken masala is ready.

Now I take salt in a bowl and mix it with roasted dry chilies. Then I add chopped onion, coriander leaves and a little mustard oil and mix it well. When it is done, I add mashed potatoes and mix it well.

Now I will apply a little mustard oil on my hands. I will take some potatoes from the potato mixture and use both hands to form them into round kebabs. In this way, I will make each potato chop.

Now I will take one cup of gram flour in a bowl. I will add rice powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and mix them. I will add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the gram flour mixture. Then I will mix it well with water and make a smooth batter.

Now I will put a pan on the stove and heat some oil in it. When the oil is hot, I will dip the potato chops in the gram flour batter and fry them on medium flame till they turn brown. After frying all the chops in this way, I will place them on a tissue paper to absorb the excess oil. My potato chops are ready to serve.

I have made potato chops many times before. Potato chops are a very popular dish in our country during Ramadan iftar. Almost every house makes this potato chop during iftar. Moreover, potato chops are also very delicious to eat. I sometimes make this potato chop as an evening snack in winter. It is very simple and made with simple ingredients but this chop is very tasty.I often prepare the potato chops and keep them in the fridge for a day or two. Then I fry them before serving them for iftar.
